About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

Tracy, I have to say, I was looking at the colour of your eyes set off by the blue room and the blonde of your hair- the room is made for you! All you need is a floor length organza gown and you can waltz into the room with the prince of your choosing! Beautifully designed, Terry! I really think you should make a calendar of shots from around the chateau - or a book to record the beauty of the chateau. Ash- I can't wait to see the progress of the bathroom. Woo Hoo! I love how the wardrobe falls perfectly into the wood, blue and gilded colour scheme of the rest of the furniture, by using the mirror to reflect the blue of the room. At first I thought it needed some sort of blue accent, but the mirrors do it all.

I was in the furniture and decorating field for over 15 years, and I have said it before but I have to reiterate it again. Woodworking and furniture restoration is a skilled trade. Reupholstering is a professional trade. Drapery making is a skilled trade, and construction is a skilled trade. All of these trades take many years to master and the three of you are doing AMAZING work. I have to look back at your beginning and see what you all did before coming to France but the work you producing in your lovely chateau is at a level you all can be VERY proud of. Just beautiful and amazing.

I feel such a lovely feminine energy in this room! It reminds me of a precious gilded little jewel box. A totally brilliant restoration in this room, regal yet delicate. The upholstered set, the wardrobe and the table with it’s little seat all blend seamlessly into this room as if they had always lived here. Such a wonderful job Terry, Tracy and Ash! It is such a beautiful room. Terry, your restoration of the furniture is just immaculate. So in theme, and so needed for this room. I can totally feel the Marie Antoinette vibe, and if she looks down on you, she does it with joy. I know you can take it, and therefore i will ask. Are you sure you want mirrors against a mirror? And a mirror on the opposite wall? Is that a bit overwhelming? Mirror is such a powerful interior feature and i wonder if the wardrobe should have its own space in the room and not next to a huge centerpiece as the mirror on the wall? However, i am sure this room will be one of the prettiest room in France, and i wont be surprised if you would get awarded creating it. You guys are amazing!

It’s all looking so lovely! You can’t have too much gold in the Princess Bride room! It’s like a giant jewelry box! All the mouldings take a lot of time to make & paint, but it’s all coming together. I totally agree with your mom, the wardrobe needed the gold to fit in. Those chairs sucked that wax in, they really needed it. You’re doing an amazing job! Can’t wait to see what bed you chose. I love the beds that have curtains all the way around that they pulled to stay warm at night. I know Terry, I know, not for this room, but it’d be really cozy & rich in the wood room.

Donna, though I don't agree at all, I am just so glad at the thought of what you brought up as being added in a "gift shop." As you know, Versailles has at least a couple of gift shops...and perfumes that are heavenly as well. (Which, if/when your perfume choice is all but used up, you can order on line...They'll ship!) Your content is beautifully filmed + filmed to ensure very comfortable viewing. Thank you for not falling prey to that filming technique (don’t know what’s it’s called) that took over some tv, movies and then videos approximately 20 years ago and exists to this day. In that technique, the camera is jumping and jerking about, swaying to the point one feels motion sickness and flicking from one image to the next in quick succession. When that technique first appeared, the camera person used to have to manually film in that manner. But then they actually created cameras for that technique so that it wasn’t so labor intensive for the person holding the camera. But the technique makes for miserable viewing. And contrary to the thoughts of those who created or adopted the technique, it is not trendy. It just makes one not want to watch the program, film or video. You have not done that. Thank you! The filming of your content is perfection and I appreciate it every time I watch your channel. You always do everything just right.
