Hello! I’m Vivienne, the châtelaine of a small 19th century neo-Renaissance castle in the Loire Valley of France, which I share with my delightful (and wonderfully funny!) husband, Simon, our daughter, and -whenever possible- lovely friends and family.
This is not our first chateau! 23 years ago, we bought a much larger castle nearby, which we loved with all our hearts. However, nearly 2 decades, many happy memories, countless renovations, and several small fortunes later, we made the very difficult, empty-nesting decision to downsize. With great luck and perseverance, we found our current petit château, which we are now decorating and updating with love, humour, comfort, and -of course- antiques and art!
We adore France and its many unique facets: its people, culture, landscapes, wine, food, art, and history. We also love being surrounded by châteaux, both public and private, which we can explore together! After 20 years here, we have learned many things about living in France, renovating châteaux, and appreciating the extraordinary riches surrounding us. We originally decided to make these videos as a way to share our lives with our loved ones worldwide during the pandemic lockdowns. However, we soon realised that many others are at home alone, and it is our privilege to open our home to you, our new friends. We hope you will join us on our adventures in this exceptional location, and we look forward to sharing a little Château Love!

Hi. I live near Bath in the UK where a lot of the scenes from Bridgerton were filmed. I volunteered at No 1 Royal Crescent which is a regency house and was the exterior of the Featheringtons London home. Ornamental features were added to the outside and the front door was repainted blue. It has now been returned to its original colour until next time!!! I felt truly honoured to work in such a beautiful house. If you are ever in Bath please do visit the Bridgerton locations they are amazing! Love your channel.

Absolutely loved all that was shown about the wedding for Steve and Sara! So much fun and just very lovely in deed. They have a beautiful Chateau as well. Love your choices in jewlery and wold lvoe to buy some. The WedgeWood and the Cameo's are so lovely and the Saphirre nad diamonds is really to be anyosn dream, and especially if like me Sapphire is your birthday stone! I was born Sept 22nd What a lovely engagment/wedding ring for anyone if they bought it, as of the Diamonds, in it also? The lovely room you jsut finishedI think wouljd be the one I would love to stay in if I visited. but yet see thsoe delightful pastel colors dgoing in as Simon works so diligently on this and think this may just be the one too. I was so sure that the 'Joan Of Arc ' room was the one before this. Am so unable to choose! Guess I would just need to say " Point the way, and lead me to the room you have left even, and I will be more than excited to be here!" lol ( That is not really going to happen just love all this dreaming) Philip and Stephane stayed I think in room with a veranda, and it as lovely too and so nice to set outside in the evenign hours ! Or early morning? Think my problem is this: When 16 yrs old and in school yet I stayed in a huge Stucco Estate, for the summer in order to work at hospital. I loved it so much! A lawyer and wife lived ther with five children and if they had to go away I would babysit if I had the day off, and took care of the childdren in his huge Stucco Estate! Never got over it I guess? But Vivienne your personality stands out so much, as you love everyone, and it comes back to you. I see this in my sister in law too. I was always like that until I had this Leukemia and took my zest away, I think? You do help me get it back ,or at least try to and it helps as you are so upbeat and caring . Simon is so dear to people as well ,and you have brought up your daughter properly, Love your videos and the jewlery and they looked very nice on you those you wore for the wedding, and also beautiful necklace Isabella wore. You both can wear almost anything and look very nice! Simon too, looked well with wearing the brooch! Very handsome! Happy belated Fathers day to Simon!

Before I moved to Normandy I lived in Fontainebleau. I highly recommend going to the chateau there, it was just around the corner from me so I went to the gardens there at least once a week, and probably once a month inside the chateau itself. It is one of the most completely furnished royal chateaux, and if you can take the special tours they offer sometimes, they're well worth going to. Me being a huge fan of tableware, that place was ideal for me with such amazing collections of silver and porcelain, some of the finest anywhere.
