It felt like 4 was doing a lot better at storyboarding, especially with it's use of portals. 3.5 tended to just be more rambling, while 4 seemed to use portals for a variety of story reasons (actual travel, time skipping, etc.) and was slightly more coherent.

It really started out trying to setup a plot on the second one too. Morty keeps talking about how great The Rock is so Rick wants to take him to meet him to show he's not that great, using a plot device central to the show It seems like a inflection point will be when a model figures out dramatic irony. They get there and Morty hates him but Rick becomes enamored with him

I thought 4 did a better job of using the scene transitions to skip time. like the last prompt where rick says he's gonna take care of it then they transition and the script continues as if something off camera happened. I think given a wider scene selection 4 will be more creative with the limited selection of scenes. also another point to 4 is it used varying names for dwayne "the rock" johnson because it could comprehend that "the rock" and Dwayne "the rock" johnson were the same thing. where as in 3.5 it only ever used dwayne "the rock" johnson.
@R.B.9 ай бұрын
3.5 did once say Dwayne's house, so it wasn't always Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, but it was frequent and not as varied as 4.0.

3.5 does sometime use abbreviations or variations of the names but not as often, probably both to remember and to not get it self confused on iterations down the line when it starts to forget if The Rock and Dwayne are two different things
@rkirke19 ай бұрын
Have you considered a layered approach to the generation? i.e First prompt: "Come up with the plot for a fictitious Rick & Morty episode. Incorporate plot devices and twists that are similar to existing episodes, but unique. Divide the plot into 10 scenes and number them" Then take each scene and create 10 new prompts from that: eg "Come up with believable dialog and perform the role of a stage director for the following hypothetical scene from a Rick and Morty episode." [your prompts for formatting etc] then the description of a scene from the first prompt. That way the development of plot etc will be separated and allow finer tuning of nuts & bolts of the response -> animation section. This is some entertaining stuff, keen to see more!

More iterations to develop or discard plot elements before going to the actual script are helpful, too. Have GPT look for "errors" and suggest improvements to the plot, let it rewrite it according to that analysis in the next step, and send that to the "scriptwriter" in a third step. It also helps to tell GPT at each step that it's an expert at doing that step specifically.

I liked how wholesome the GPT 3.5 "Morty joins a gang" episode was! The part where Rick reassures Morty that he doesn't need a gang to feel important, and the part in 4.0 where it implied Rick probably killed or injured the gang members, are so in character!
@taranciucgabrielradu9 ай бұрын
4 definitely has a better grasp and understanding of time and space, whereas 3.5 has somewhat better scripting capabilities, as in it feels less limited and goes a bit more wild in my opinion So all in all, I believe that if this were to expand in scope (as in more locations, more characters etc.), 4 will start getting the edge over 3.5 in terms of narrative storytelling

Simply because it created this whole insecurity type of thing where morty was beating around the bush of it and i actually went back to look at the prompt, and it had nothing of the sort in it. I thought that was so much more engaging, and rick having invented this device to go to your crush and how rick said that morty's history had been on dwayne the rock stuff. I feel like the 3.5 was more chaotic. Sometimes the transitions didn't make sense. On the other hand, it had some pretty nice ideas. The 4 on the other hand was a lot more coherent, but it lacked that little bit of chaos, to make the story interesting. To me, it would make sense to incorporate more characters etc. into the story playground. Then I think the coherentness of 4 would be much more visible.

4 did better. Better storyboarding and more portal use at better times. I hope to see these AI streams take scenes to the next level someday and show them interacting with the environment more (Which I see you've put some nice effort into.) and maybe even being able to have more animations to call on and use. Battles actually breaking out with gunfire and shit would be cool too when they talk about fighting, overall I think that could make this WORLDS better than other AI streams, and it could be just simple firing off screen, or even some back and forth with blaster fire coming from off screen (but of course missing and/or non-fatal hits from time to time.)

I really feel that 3.5 is much better at writing the dialogue. Morty occasionally standing up to Rick for example or being embarrassed he has a crush on Dwayne is very authentic to the show, unlike 4 where Morty seems to follow the prompt in a much more straight forward and sometimes less believable way. 4 however seems to be better at consistency. That same rigidness feels as though it helps keep the story on track, and has better situational awareness. I personally prefer 3.5 just a little more so far because imo that dialogue is what makes it feel like Rick and Morty. However, I think that giving 3.5 and 4 some more scenes to work with would probably let 4 shine some more, and allow for a much better comparison. I wouldn't be surprised if 3.5 went off on a tangent right away if it was given more scenes to work with.
