get the paid version. just begin writing your thoughts into it. It's $20/month for an above average assistant who can write anything you want, and do a LOT of intellectual labor. Plus it's a robot, so no strings attached like us trouble-proned humans.

Anyone that thinks the accent is bad for other languages besides English is right. That's why content creators are important to train the AI to speak, that way, another job field is born.

It's because they presently only have american voices as of right now and the ai does not know or see it necessary to change its accent to fit the voice or the region it is pretending to role play in - though I imagine if asked to put on an accent it would.

that seems to be because the response was in both spanish and english. cuándo le hablas completamente en español el acento es mejor it definitely changes its accent based on the language though, same way elevenlabs voices do

But I don’t want ChatGPT to give me random answers. Instead, I want it to work with my input, based on files I upload. For example, I want to upload a PDF of a chapter from a textbook or other class readings, and I need ChatGPT to go over the material with me to help me learn it better. Is this currently possible in ChatGPT? If yes, it would be a very helpful feature for students.

once i enabled it on my ip0hone, when I try to go to settings it just opens settings ofr a half a second and immediately jumps to the voice prompt. This is maddening! UGH!

Its real, used it with a friend... the model has several voices and GPT walked us through the 3D modelling software Blender... it was like having a 1 to 1 tutor over the phone because it sounds so natural

It's real and kinda simple. It's a compilation of multiple models Chatgpt for generating text, Whisper by OpenAI for speech recognition, And a new text to speech model by OpenAI just like what ElevenLabs uses, combined it creates the illusion of a sentient being, we are not there yet, but each single model of them is definitely impressive still.
