Wow that is an amazine time. It usually takes me 6 hours or more to paddle 24 miles so 31 miles in 5 hours blows me away!

One of the better Chattajack videos out there! You still looked seriously strong coming around Hales Bar! I loved that you caught that ski at the line. Super fast pace btw! Next year will be my second belt buckle year! Will you be coming back for 2023?

@@abbeypaddles5635 Twice in OC-1, three times OC-2, twice in marathon racing canoe, and twice in surfski! Not sure about what I'll do for my 10th. I live approximately 3/4 of a mile from the start line!

did you record your garmin stats for the race? What kind of training did you do? thinking of entering this year with a buddy in Stellar ST21.

The garmin I had at the time died but I had all my stats recorded on my speedcoach! I train in dragonboat in the summer but supplemented a LOT of Km on my OC throughout as well. Starting building my endurance in April to be prepared for that kind of volume in October ! But I will for sure be doing it again this year :)

I completed the 52km in 5 hours and 5 mins :) came in 4th in my division
