drumming piano :) I observe Reich influences but in a more personal harmonical vocabulary. great work by adams; I saw it in an article Minimalism, Post minimalism and the Resurgence of Tonality. It's now one of the best works I've listened this year

I love this piece. People who don't think it "belongs" in the avant garde of music for classical instruments with (say) Penderecki or Glass or Adams's other works are nutz, imo, or don't see the good-humored fun of it.
