A one thing often leads to another. Yesterday I watched your chat with Bernt. Thanks to you, today I'm a member of the Swedish Casting federation. Not part of the national team... 😢 Yet 😊that is. Thanks to you I passed the 100ft mark with a good margin last summer. I've been watching you on and off for years. Thank you for sharing your insights. Fellas, I really enjoyed this discussion, particular about softer rods. The first rod I ever threw a whole line with was a 93" EC Powell semi-hollow 8wt bamboo rod. Wowza! Some of the softer graphite and even glass rods being made today really let you compress them before they unleash that spring energy and they are a lot more pleasant to fish, IMHO. This brings to mind the work of James Tomlinson who is also on youtube. Have you seen his videos? He is convinced that throwing 120' is quite easy and longer casts are readily achieved using his methods. I would be curious about your take on his approach and results.

I think there should be a kind of accuracy event inspired by darts games. 2 casters matches and taking out points, a hard cast to start decreasing, and you've got to end at exactly zero. there would be some interesting tension around some casts. nice to watch
