I entered into the Harley Davidson "family" when I purchased a new 2001 Fatboy...the still iconic design from its original debut year of 1990. Willie G. designed motorcycles for HD like Harley Earl designed cars for GM...memorable models and designs. Unfortunately, HD has regressed in these areas, much like the auto industry has regressed. We'll never get those eras back...there's too much government regulation, for one thing, and few innovative minds in the designing departments anymore....

He made and saved HIS company. As a supplier I saw he was always at war with budgets and his designs and details that he had to have. He won alot of them and gave them hell but the end result paid off. If willie wanted it- it happened. New Corporate took over and f'd the company.

Willie G is ashamed of today's Motor Company. The company and bikes today are a caricature of what once was.

He has a hand in the downgrade of Harley Davidson. Sourcing most if not all of the parts it takes to build a bike from many other countries. And then still rips us off. FWG and FHD !
