16:30 consider elastic loops to tuck your spools of thread into... Similar to the loops for your scissors. That way they'll stay in your kit and not roll away. I'll wager that it would also keep the thread from unwinding. 💖🌞🌵😷

Emma, you seriously need to write books with your patterns and even your freebie patterns. You could also advertise you sell your kits for each pattern in the books in your shop. So between your videos and your books you would probably need help to put your kits together to sell and mail. You are so creative, I love all your videos you are such an inspiration to this community. Still watching your nice video. I would have used two pieces for that long piece on the sewing machine--I do that on long quilt borders quite a bit. No one ever notices. If they do, they don't say. Oh Emma, I just asked a question on another of your videos about the 3rd question that was asked on your Quilt As You Go on how to finish the edges. I’m OK doing the half hexagons but I think I’ll leave the triangle sides as they look a bit difficult. It’s the folding on the corners that have me confused 😁 Love all those new fabrics that you showed us 😍

17:01 consider revising your pincushion shape... if it had a boxed edge (thinking 2 hexi flowers, joined by squares to form the side) instead of a knife edge. The bottom would lay flatter and you could use a longer piece of Velcro. Also, consider slipping something inside back, like cardboard or a piece of plastic (I'd use a piece cut from an old food container lid), to keep the pins from poking through. 💖🌞🌵😷

12:17 How much quilting is enough? Depends on your batting or wadding. Most wadding says on the package the minimum distance between quilting (mine says 2-4 inches, but it really varies). Fun facts: Back in the 1800s the wadding was like roving (similar to a cotton ball) which needed a lot of quilting to keep the wadding from piling up. Some people used old blankets as wadding which probably needed less. Some even used newspaper, which probably only needed a tie here or there. 💖🌞🌵😷

I have made a sewing case about the same size with a detachable pin cushion which is secured with a medium sized snap fastener as I wanted to be able to take it out. It works well.

Emma you do a great job , I to understand the nervousness of putting things out there and making videos but i watch all your videos and i have mentioned you on my videos on the EPP Many have asked me about Epp they like the idea , l love vintage fabric and liberty is my favorite as well in light colors that I have seen on your videos .I have scraps but no liberty yet I want to get a sizzix machine first so i can cut more hexis instead of always purchasing amazons Your projects are always so pretty thanks for sharing
