The advice you gave to the 13 year old was spot on! Skill will come with time but the excitement and freedom you have with art when you’re young only happens when you’re young and don’t need to turn it into a job. I tried to “exercise” too much as an early teen to try to get better and burned myself out. Since then I’ve gone years in between doing any art at all and am repairing my relationship with art at 25. Going gentle on yourself definitely makes it easier to be consistent.

There are tons of creators sharing impossibly polished work on social media, and that can seem discouraging, but there are also channels like this where we find guidance, coaching, and information presented in a supportive, inclusive way. There's an important message in this video which really resonates with us: Comparing yourself to other artists is unavoidable, but the most valuable comparison is the one we make to ourselves!

Watching you paint always gives me the kick in the butt I needed to stop procrastinating and work on my own Art. Right now I'm recovering from another Covid Infection but I can't lie in bed forever. Also totally agree on man made objects as one of my biggest difficulties as an Artist. You also put the reasons very well into words. You don't get away with messing it up, even slightly, as with, let's say, a tree. Nature is more forgiving, in a sense, when it comes to Design. I love the result, thanks for the Video!

Corsets historically weren’t uncomfortable nor did they constrained you from breathing like it’s portrayed in movies. They just shaped your clothes. If a corset it too tight or uncomfortable it’s not your fit or it’s just not made right just like a lot of modern clothes for women.

I love the found family trope too! All of my favourite series include it (including ACOTAR and We Hunt the Flame series). Having people you connect with on that soul/heart level is such a heartwarming thing!

Listening to this (for the zillionth time) while I work and just registered that your Momo plush didn't get funded and I'M SO SAD. I remember when you revealed her and I wanted one. I love your art and all the characters you come up with and I really wanted to get a Momo plush whenever they came available. I was in an extremely rough spot financially at the time and couldn't afford anything so I missed out. Like how you collect stickers, I'd have a room full of knickknacks designed by my favorite artists if I could. 😂

Beautiful work. Do you have a preference for Acryla Gouache? Do you use a medium to keep it wet longer, or make it more fluid, or do you mix with water? x Nell

Thanks so much! I do think I prefer acryla gouache over regular gouache I just use water to dilute the paints and recently started using a palette from wetgrass to keep the paints moist longer which I've included in the description :)

@@qweentiy4030 are you sure? There’s a squeeze bottle like this that has a slow drying medium in it that’s clear like water for acrylics. It looks exactly the same as the one she’s using so I’m wondering if she uses this too.
