Loved this chatty video! I had only warmed Maraschino Sugar Cookie once - several years ago back when it came as a sneak peek in a whiff box. This year I purchased a discounted brick bundle offered through a sale I think & that scent was one of them. I just warmed some & I’m with you. Very cloying & in-your-face. I’m going to have to figure out how to tap it down. I also could not smell Apple Cherry Strudel. My club shipped on the 26th & I threw the brick scents in there. I really don’t like taking a chance on huge bricks. I usually only really like one or two. I would rather they included ‘tried & true’ bars in brick offerings. I’d love to see Apple Butter Frosting or Hazelnut Frosting or Marshmallow Mint in a holiday brick.

I totally agree about the bricks being return scents and the scents of the season being new scents. I wish they would let the consultants vote on 10 scents for the catalog or limited time offers.

A brick is a lot of wax but if you know it’s a current or past love I’m sure people would be more willing to take the plunge

I’m over Bricks 😂 I have so many even from 6 yrs ago that I haven’t touched! I would rather have a grab and go with what I feel is a better performance than the bricks. The ONLY brick that has ever been stronger than a bar was Pumpkin Roll 😮😂

Sweet Plum Pastry and Banana Bread are 2 that I get Nothing from 😂😮😢 I agree with you on the Bricks and SOTS! I want some really loved and missed bars back more often either LTO or Catalog!

I do agree it makes sense to have 2-3 favorites in bricks and more newness in Scents of the Season. Imagine the sales they would have if they brought back a couple bakery favorites to the holiday bricks! (Sweet Plum Pastry 😉)

I agree that bricks should be primarily past, well loved scents. The new scents can be introduced through Scents of the Season. I'm not going to buy a brick if I dont know that I'm going to love it! I might take the risk with a regularly sized bar though.

I would prefer to see some bricks from retired popular scents like apple butter frosting, almond croissant, marshmallow mint, etc and then choose two popular ones from the catalogue like a brick of Silver bells or winterberry apple tea, etc . Scents of season in regular bar size is fine ..a Brick is a financial commitment, so knowing beforehand that it is one I will love would be my preference. Thanks for another great video.

I think I'd prefer well loved scents to come in brick and newer scents in the scents of the season like u suggested. Ive only purchased 2 bricks this season because I just don't want to commit to that much wax if I don't like the scent. I may throw it in my club though and try it that way.

My granddaughter wasn’t feeling very good cold coming in. She is 17 now but she called me and asked if I had an extra bar of the one that smells like Vicks aka Just breath so I drove over gave her couple bars of just breath and another warmer I told her to put one in her bedroom one in her bathroom and that would fill her little basement apt. Her mom said what about me lol.

I agree, give a couple brick spots to scents that have earned it and are loved and put all the new scents in SOTS. A full set of new scents for bricks is more of a gamble and commitment when you don't know if you will like the scents. Great empties, TFS!

Agreed - the last time I warmed MSC it was by far the worst it had come across of all the times I’ve warmed it (hopefully that made sense) So happy to be done with it

I think I’d like to see old scents return in collections with a couple new, in bricks especially! I think it helps for people who are new to Scentsy or not avid Scentsy users to not feel like scents are around for a limited amount of time and never return or maybe not as familiar with club/not interested in setting one up.

To answer your Q: For me personally, I would rather bricks be known scents as special offer bundle. But it probably doesn’t cause the hype and discussion time new scents in bricks do. I def prefer new scents in bar size. LTO’s are a fun way to try bundles of new scents throughout the year. SOTS as a gift option is good to have some scents we know and a few new to keep it exciting and conversation worthy. 😊

I quite liked Christmas Cookie. Not quite club worthy but I might pick up a couple. When I smelled it in the whiff box, I thought I would hate it. I wish it was stronger though. Gingerbread Pecan Waffles is my favorite of the new releases. I completely agree of Vanilla Amber. I’m gonna keep my Vanilla Cream. Maraschino Sugar Cookie and my wish might be the only scents we disagree on. I like the bricks and SOTS to be a mix of old scents making a return and news scents. Maybe 3 new and 2 returning. Based on the reviews of the bricks this year, I think I’m in the minority because I’m just ok with the scents and it’s a lot of wax for scents that are just average.

Prefer older scents for bricks. Too much wax to risk a scent that I might not like. I use club to get the bricks in bar sized. More likely to get the brick if I knew I already liked the scent.

Jack’s obsession is my SIL’s favorite bar that my daughter has warmed. I bought the dupe from L3 last year & let it sit about 6 months before I had her try it. She actually prefers L3’s. It performed better for her so I need to request it so hopefully I can grab some to put up till next fall.

I want Crimson Berry Christmas to come back, and it seems like Scents of the Season is its best bet. Ha! But more fully to answer your question, I like that they’ve been doing several returning scents for SOTS, because holidays are so nostalgic and most of us like scents we know. I’d like a couple returning bricks, but I don’t expect too many for bricks. But OVERALL, I think returning scents are a good move, especially since the company is supposed to be based on scent memories. And then we get so many new scents in the fall, holiday, and other LTO releases.

Interesting question (s) …made me think as in Uk we don’t get access to bricks other than the Seasonal ones (Christmas ) (summer) so I’m grateful when we get any to choose from 😂 but yes I agree I would love to be able to get a brick of Cranberry and Tinsel for example but then have new seasonal brick to try as well ….the scents of the season bars I would prefer all be new. 😊 .

@ don’t seem to .. many consultants say they don’t want to spend out on them to make samples on early access but I wait and do an in/out club so I get bars to try .. then if I love them , I’ll add bars to my quarterly club and also buy brick size .. but then I’m just my only customer .. ( and my two daughters ) . We’ve got 2 bricks in clearance at £17 attire mo .. icicles and evergreen and caramel chestnut .. my two favs from the last Xmas bricks so I’m quite happy with that . I’m in a huge happy bubble at mo as my first grandchild was born on Thursday .. Halloween baby . Little boy called Sonny and we’re all besotted with him . Have a lovely Sunday 😊

Great video. I would prefer the bricks to be new scents, but I would love to see returning past scents such as Very Merry Cranberry or Cranberry Garland, along with existing popular scents. I miss those two cranberry scents, and I think we need a better cranberry scent than Cranberry Cardamom. For Scents of the Season-those can all be new. I received brick samples, and was not impressed at all this year with any of them enough to buy a brick, or even put them in a club. I liked Wrapped in Lights, but I like Holiday Market much better, and it performs great in my open concept.

🌾🎃🍁 I would purchase bricks of Almond Crossaint, Apple Smores, Cranberry Garland, and Honey Pear Cider! Also, they should do the same with spring bricks. I would love a brick of Blue Hyacinth, Darling Dahlia, and Hey Tiger Lily. Also, they should just provide a permanent brick of Happy Birthday! Or offer it with the club bricks. 🌾🎃🍁I prefer the regular size wax bars in general. Easier to manage.

Gosh that’s a tough one! I assume you want to disguise the ginger. Some people would mix with a vanilla. You could try a citrus )like SUNKISSED Citrus). Maybe just try in a small area first in case the mix is not good.

I’m honestly happy with whatever they do. What you say makes sense though. I will say I did think 5 brand new scents was fun vs a brick of something I wouldn’t like. I didn’t think I’d like most so got bricks in bar form through club but ended up wishing I had gotten all 5 new. I suppose I don’t mind because I’m usually happy either way. But at least scents of season you’re only getting bars vs feeling you need to get bricks early access.

There are a few scents that I cannot smell at all - Churro Churro was one of them. I’d have to consult my spreadsheet to remember the others. I make note so I don’t buy them again. It is such a bummer because they smell good on cold (what little I can smell). I think I would prefer some classics in the bricks and newer in the SOTS. But I usually only ever put bars of bricks in my club to try first because it is a big commitment. 😂

I ordered one brick with the best sounding description that included scent notes that i normally like. That brick however, really disappointed me and sort of makes me nauseous. Wish I had just tried a bar size of it.

I would much prefer popular scents returning in bricks. Mint to be Merry would have been amazing in a brick. Scents of the Season should be new scents and if they are big hits, maybe we will see a brick someday. I still question my taste because I’m the only person that loved Cookies for Santa 😂

Luna has been very light for me. My best result was to almost double the wax I use…then I can smell it fairly well but it would seem to last a while. That was in Ryan’s room in my old house. I haven’t tried it in the new place yet.

I would definitely prefer retired scents for bricks and am grateful they give us some in Scents of the Season at least. Bricks are awesome but if I’m honest this year’s selection is a little underwhelming. I would faint if they had a brick in Apple Butter Frosting or Snowkissed Cranberry. And it’s ok if you don’t like Maraschino Sugar Cookie ( I forgive you 😉🤣). Everyone loves Arctic Kiss but me so there you go!

Thanks! Yes around spring 2021 Scentsy transitioned to clamshells with the scent family pictures imprinted on the bottom of the clam shells. Before that they were smooth

Everybody I know loves Cashmere & Corduroy. On cold sniff I also love it, but as soon as I put it in my warmer I can’t smell it anymore 🤔 I would prefer the bricks in well loved returning scents.The scents of the season should be new scents.
