Chaudhavi Shab” is a song from the Netflix series “Heeramandi,” sung by Shreya Ghoshal and composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The lyrics, written by A.M. Turaz, convey deep emotions of heartbreak and loss, using the metaphor of the moon on a full moon night, which never sets, and the impossible notion of burning in water to illustrate futile efforts in love.
In this video, I am portraying this song in my parallel universe, where art is gender fluid. I am expressing the emotions of a heartbroken soul (Tawaif) through her Mujra performance.
