Thanks for this explanation. I commented on a prior video about range. As a sound guy, unlike a DJ, we are not sitting next to the stage where the lights are located, and range is a big issue. I can see picking up two of these(D'fi Hub), one FOH as the transmitter with DMX cable to the controller, and one on the stage as the receiver and hooking up by DMX cable to the lights, and see how they work in a crowded(cell phone rich) area. Have a good one! Carl

Can the D-Fi XLR units be powered via the micro USB whilst they are in use? Also 3 months worth of comments from other users and not a single reply from Chauvet?

Thanks for the video! Will the Di-Fi Hub transmit via the wired dmx output on it from the FlareCON Air app? All the lights are wired together via DMX. Would like to be able to control them through the FlareCON App

Great video maybe you can make a video on how to control some lighting using your programs or what you recommend like for the Wave 360... im a DJ and just using the Irc remote but want to control the light a little more..

What about the claims/concerns that D-FI wireless DMX is not the same continuous signal as a DMX cable in terms of the data rate? I've heard complaints that complex DMX data like precise fades or fast data changes ends up choppy. Is this true? If so, are there plans to address that? I would love to have one of these at the base of every totem tower for a large traveling installation, but could it handle the data for all the lights on that tower, moving heads, precise timing to sync with video/music? No latency, no choppy fades, etc?

I bought have some of your Slimpar lights and I’m using the D-fi USB to control them. Very often, one of my lights flickers or cuts out for a solid 1-2 seconds. It happens about 30 times in an hour. I bought a new fixture and a new USB stick, and I’m still having the the problem (I have other lights I’m controlling with D-fi at the same time also that don’t flicker....they are exactly the same lights and everything.) The lights are only about 40 feet from my transmitter and there is a clear line of site always. Can you help me?

Quick question, I recently purchased the Ezwedge battery tri par lights and freedom H1s, I know the freedom H1s will work with the Dfihub, but I wanted to know the best option in order to get the Ezwedges to work as well, thanks.

so the D-FI usb i can't find so much info about even on your site ' i see you've gone to an xlr version you have to charge, original usb was powered off the unit is this because of battery life capacity ? better product after sales would be good if you were not trying to push your latest products so much

Great stuff you guys. Can you do a D-Fi Best Practices video? I'm getting a pretty elaborate setup and I'm experiencing some serious latency and I think I must be doing something wrong. When I make controller moves, fixtures can take a while to respond, so I don't know if I'm pushing the range or what.

I'm looking at purchasing the (2) D-Fi Hubs, 1 as a transmitter and 1 as a receiver. Have you been using that device?? Thanks Carl

@@CarlsOpinion I have a lot of fixtures having the same DMX address, and they are about 60-75 ft from the hub, so not sure how to optimize performance. Chauvet has no info on this.

Please do a tutorial on how you incorporated the Freedom Pars wirelessly, and the Spots with the D-Fi Hub (The D-Fi Hub & Freedom Par settings) with ShowXpress. I have the Intimidator spots & the Freedom Pars Quad 4s IP, I'm running my up-lighting (Pars) strictly with Flarecon and my other lighting with a DMX Controller. I'm a total novice at ShowXpress and would love to run my wireless Pars and other lighting solely with ShowXpress. Can my Flarecon be used like the D-Fi Hub to accomplished this or do I need the D-Fi Hub? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@rickpeeples50373 жыл бұрын
Yes, plug your DMX cable into the FlareCon and set it to DMX mode and not Wi-Fi and the FlareCon will transmit whatever you DMX controller is sending.

Hello I am interested in purchasing freedom par tri 6 uplights from chauvet but I have a question regarding the DFI technology. Would I be able to use myDMX go or mega disco light to output to a master tri 6 par light and utilize that master as a transmitter to wireless connect my other par tri 6. after that, I am planning on outputing a dmx cable from the same master to my chauvet spot 360 moving heads.

I’ve had success with the “DIFI HUB” but not with the “XLR Transmitter” which makes no sense to me.

@@natetremblay8537 I believe its because the D-Fi Hub is a stronger transmitter than the D-Fi XLR.

Chauvet needs to sell the charge stations separately. What if the charge station quits working and you don’t want to charge each one individually. I just purchased the d-fi xlr and love them to the point I bought another 21 receivers so I can run all my lights with wireless dmx

Is it possible to work with Chauvet Professional gear even if I use an adapter to make it 3-pin?

Should work, but i would rather use a adapter cable than adapter, because of the leverage.

@@lightinginventory I've never worked with a Chauvet Professional device, not all professional devices on the market have both 3 and 5 pin XLR
@lightinginventory3 жыл бұрын
@@ShowXTech You are correct that not all manufactures have both 3 and 5 pin dmx on fixtures but I can confirm, (looking at my current Chauvet Pro fixtures) that Chauvet Pro do. Now when it comes to nodes and art net devices, then that is a different story. ETC and Artyon and probably others are only just 5 pin. That's the beauty of working with both Chauvet Pro and DJ lines because you can integrate the pro line into your setup that may have the DJ line but having handy adapters or whatever your preference is can help.

Do the Chauvet DJ thing and just slap a power out on a powered version of the dongle. IEC or PowerCon only, no more of these tiny power cords that break.
