Here's my Tutorial on how to restyle Ever After High's Madeline Hatter Doll Hair plus, a quick Boil Washing and Curling Tutorial.

@DLBK Davin You are so lucky, I tried asking my friends if they had any of the dolls, but since all they know is Stranger things and grown up shows, they don’t have any dolls :( and in my country they don’t do yard sales, I am in grade 6 you see, so I am the only person who enjoys dolls and toys, everyone else is so grown up and only like phones...I am also not around to buy stuff online so my collection is small and I ruined most of the dolls :(

LOL, I love that you made her a little spa outfit! Thanks for the curling tutorial - it’s really nice to see how it’s done-I’m actually going to check out the wave tutorial as well. I have always hated that I didn’t know how to style my doll’s hair properly. Question: How hot is “hot”? Should it be recently boiled/still steaming or just hot to the touch so it makes your skin red, but doesn’t actually burn you?

A tip I got from my restorative arts teacher- when detangling, don't start at the top and go down. It makes the tangles worse. Instead, start at the ends and comb your way up.

If you pour boiling water over the hair in curlers and let dry, it will be an almost permanent curl in your dolls hair. Also you should use fabric softener instead of hair conditioner, it works much better and doesn't leave a residue behind.

hi first wow your videos are so great and helpful thank you but two questions 1. you left her overnight by accident but how many hours should she be left to dry? 2. how long do the curls last. again thank you so much for the videos

starr mendez I usually leave them overnight (12 hours - 24 hours) to dry. In this video, I accidentally left her for a few more days! :PIf you have done the steps correctly, the curls do last for a long long time! :)and you can spray from hairspray too if you wish.

I tried curling her hair and I ended up having a doll with bald spots even when her hair was dried up. Its not that easy as it looks so how do I get bald spots away? Quellina Holly Its up to you. :) Conditioner can really help smooth out the hair regardless of gel or not. And you can use the hottest setting on your tap. And thanks so much for watching! :D

I got myself this doll and applewhite for xmas. So disappointed with the hair :( as with monster high the hair is so bad it looks like ive been playing with them in a hot bath for a month. Barbie never did this to me, she was ALWAYS immaculate :P I also found applewhites dress too big and slipping down to show her applewhites. Im in New Zealand and these dolls are expensive, how ever I purchase them, so im glad there are tutorials on how to fix the hair. thanks

Are the curls permanent?? If they are you can just brush them away right??

Sierra Galvarez They do last for a long time. But if you brush them sometimes the hair can go really poofy. try separating with your fingers or with a large comb. :)
