After owning one for 3 months I can assure this is a high quality product and would buy it again even if it was double the price I paid for. The other day, due to a beach run, I had to open the car and clean all the transmission. The metal used is strong and excellent quality and even with sand grinding gears they were spotless. The motor is not fast but very strong and you can make tires squeeze on some surfaces (not the original ones). Also, lighting and body makes this rx look really good. Electronics with no fault at all, except when a wave at the beach covered the left side of the car and servo stopped working due to a Short circuit. After cleaning the esc and wd40 voila, everything working again! also servo is relatively fast and strong enough. This car is so high quality that is being modded to brushless with crazy power and still holds like a pro.

Nice looking little truck, and at last, it seems like the manufacturers are listening to their customers, putting oil shocks on their cars. I know, if my son hadn't got more expensive cars, he'd love this. A good starter car, as you said. Good to see you back after your dose of Covid. I'm sitting in isolation, waiting for my PCR result after getting a positive lateral flow test this morning!! Thankfully, I feel fine!! Merry Christmas, eh. 🤪👍🏻

Its a decent little truck Rob especially for the money i think it looks great. Oil shocks should be a standard thing and im sure people would pay slightly more to have them as a standard feature. Its good to be back! Oh no! I hope you are okay it hit me pretty hard was in bed 3 days straight! Yeah merry Christmas haha!

I just received mine today and for my 1st basher/monster truck im.very happy with this performance as a beginner. Only issue i thinks is the rear shocks are way softer than the front so i guess we need to check the oil inside. Thx for your review.

The third diff stands out from wltoys..and this is a quality statement..only high end rc cars incorporate a center diff..

Great review Ricky I think this truck looks really good,and for the money it's well worth it . If you can overlook the silly claims of speed and size and take it for what it is for the money it still seems a decent truck.CHEERS MATE.

Absolutely its a rebranded HBX and I do refer back to HBX a lot in the vid. I think it is loosely based on the HBX 2995 maybe.. Not 100% sure but even the transmitter is still branded as HBX! Thanks :)

we got one of these flyhal trucks , haven't used it yet, but we got the haiboxing 2995 witch is almost the same thing, got big tires and a 5200kv brushless on 3s, can't even do a speed test, it's too fast,

HBX16889A Pro for sure! Its smaller but it will be a lot quicker and just as durable. My 16889 has taken some serious abuse!

Nice! How much beating can it take, say compared to the tough little cousin HBX 16889a Pro? Essentially what I am looking for is a 1/12 or 1/10 scale analogy of the HBX 16889a Pro (so brushless Li-Po, oil-filled shocks, metal driveshaft and gearboxes/diffs, done properly). And above all, good ground clearance, so no buggy or truggy. I do not need a speed demon though. Any suitable models to look into?

I think it will be up there durability wise with the 16889a Pro but it lacks the power of that truck! Have you checked out the new HBX 901A? It's 1/12, brushless, oil shocks, metal driveshafts etc. I have it here and will be posting that video very soon! I think you'll like it!

Hello bud, oh no lol, as soon as I see these kind of models have the stupidly small batteries for a so called 1/10 scale is right away gets my back up, as you say why do these manufacturers feel the need to lie about the size? Do they think we are that stupid or are they just that blatant in lying? Why can’t they just call the model for what it is, 1/12 or 1/14 scale.. for the money it’s not that bad at all surely they should realise there lie hinder more then help them. They should just advertise it is for what it is and people will like it.. 😂 sorry for the rant mate it just bugs the heck out of me lol.. Hello mate! I know exactly what you mean and have had a similar conversation with fellow RC youtuber Matthew simm over this whole situation. Tell us the true size and speed the product will do. None of us are silly enough to believe certain claims and I have no idea why they do it but it's an issue that's getting worse unfortunately. Someone who knows nothing about RC and doesn't check reviews first online would be very disappointed. I get its a way to market the product and sell more but its false advertising. This along with many other products I've tried in the past turn out to be decent little machines for beginners and I would be happy to recommend most but the lies have to stop. the transmitter looks exactly the same as the ftx tracer 1 Does it also have problems in reverse ? I've already ordered the dumborc set from banggood for the tracer

A lot of the ftx models are just rebranded it's a similar story with absima. They take the decent Chinese made cars like hbx and stick their name on them. No issues in reverse at the moment. They are very cheaply made Transmitters. The dumbo ones are awesome 👍😎
