*The **Bestt.Digital** slide scanner was exactly what I was looking for. It's easy to use, and converted my slides to good quality digital pix. I recommend it highly.*

Nice! For most people that want an easy method to scan 35mm this will work! Keep up the good work!

I have just bought a Minolta Scan Dual IV for $60. The quality is much better than a scanner like this. Scanning is 6er batches, af-lens, beautiful for BW. This would be a waist of money to me. I know this option presented here is a stand alone machine but I guess most people won't be happy with it.

I think you'll find that 3 slides should be pushed into that holder (6:05), and then another slide pushed in after each scan. (One being pushed in will obviously push one out when 3 slides are in the holder.)

Hi Darryl, very informative video. Thank you. I couldn’t get a Kodak Scanza in the U.K. but managed to find one that looks identical for about the same price. Looking at your video everything seems identical to the one I have - buttons, menus, the lot! Initially I got acceptable results given my intention to do a quick and dirty scan of old negs and then, perhaps do better scans of worthwhile images. However, what I found was that after a few weeks the scans showed a lot of degradation I think due to dust on the sensor at the bottom of the unit. No amount of gentle rubbing with the wee brush supplied seemed to fix the problem. So the unit has been effectively retired after not that many scans. I wonder if you have experienced the same issue? Cheers. Bobby

Hello, alas, slides with plastic covers don't fit in the view pass. in 22 MB, that's extrapolation. There's no difference with 14 MB, unless the file is heavier.

Honestly, I expected worse results from a scanner like this, from the sample images in the video it looks that works fine. Since a lot of people scan old films to share the photos on social media, I think that the quick and easy use is a winning strategy to sell this product. I'm thinking about people who are not familiar with computers and softwares, this would work good for them.

I have been using the scanner the last few weeks to review some old negatives and slides, its so easy to use. I think people get carried about with trying to get to much resolution from negatives

@@DarrylCarey Right, depending on what you need to do at the end, can be that you don't need too much resolution.

Nice product but far, very far away from being cheap. Perhaps it is cheap for residents of strong currency countries like the US and the UK, but here in South America and hundreds of countries worldwide, it is rather expensive due to currency exchange rates.

Was skeptical of the unit’s claim to process and convert 35mm slides into quality images. kzbin.infoUgkxKmnkpmXKhuEJXQRC5kmg2WDHyWIdGyiE The reviews convinced me to try it. Glad I did and was quite surprised! As you can see in posted image, I scanned 16 Carousel slides trays in three partial days with 30-40 trays remaining. I had researched companies that process for you but they were ridiculously expensive. This route was the most cost effective for me. The repetitive motion can cause some fatigue. I’d scanned two trays, then took a break. I also had some 47 year old color negatives that I could not identify. Ran those through the unit and the results were great. It automatically converted them to perfect images. I will use a separate photo program to fine tune any images that need an adjustment. In a nutshell, this scanner works great! I highly recommend it. Well done, Kodak!

It makes no sense to take pictures on film these days. Digital cameras are no less artistic if you are creative.
@haydensmith38633 жыл бұрын
@@NMA_NoMoreAmmo its really abt the fact that you get what you get with film and you can never perfect it which takes some meaning into the pictures which you can’t achieve with digital as you have so much control

It is not a scanner at all, there is no scanning (which means row by row - by definition) process. It is a simple photocamera inside. Plustek is a scanner, and it is much better.

Rolling shutter disagree.
@SuperSuperka3 жыл бұрын
@@GoblinCh. Rolling Shutter sensor is still an area sensor, it has some small time shift between lines, but they overlap mostly, so there is no "one by one". Also Rolling Shutter maxttrix can be exposed with electro-mechanical shutter, which is also a rolling, but much faster.

$160 for an item, which will render useless after you finished pile of old family slides, a bit waste. Unless you like to share ( I mean give away, because you will never see it back) with others.

Not a bad video, not great either. One big reason: stop using the term "Cheap" every 10 seconds. First, it is poor vocabulary, and also it is a negative term. "Cost-effective," " entry-level" will make your audience feel better.
