I don’t think it was the forks from the loader because if you see the rubbing on the plastic wheel well it’s been rubbing for some time, so it had to be in a small fender bender.

Rear lateral control arm is broken. That is a fresh break too, no dirt or corrosion in it. Yup, they broke that shit when they picked it up with the forks. As for the ABS module, those are replaceable. There should be like 6 small bolts holding it on. You can snatch them up at the pick a part for a song.

Randy your not the only one with a channel I watch where vehicles occasionally seem to get damaged by the forklifts. Those guys seem like they are always rushing, which I get, but you figure since after someone purchase the car they would treat it accordingly. As someone's property not some faceless insurance company anymore. No need to crack the bumpers or put holes in the oil pans or snap control arms. I know there's no way to prove it but you figure they would be a bit more gentle with another man's property.

I never understood why they don't drive the cars that are somewhat drive-able out on there own power... But to me it looks to have been in an accident (as it was rubbing for a long time, your right it was not noticeable in the walk around) leading me to believe it was already probably weak/cracked and the forks finished it off

I would leave the ABS module alone. It's a common problem with the Jeep Wrangler guys too. There is a counter in it that needs to be reset. A rebuild costs like 200 to 300 bucks which is a hell no when it comes to a flip car that won't bring much money.
@Oklawolf4 жыл бұрын
I think you dodged (no pun intended) a bullet on the rear shocks... they look ok to me. Good to get the bare minimum done and get the car out of there ASAP. These will find a way to break your wallet if you let them. I'm five grand into mine in five years. One thing to note on the ABS module - get the battery and tray out of there and inspect the body grounds on the inner fender. These are infamous for issues with those. I had to repair every last one of those on my 2004. You may need an alignment once the rear is fixed.

Should mention - my 2004 is also loaded. I've had problems with options this one doesn't even have. I'd say it should clear $2500-3000 fixed.
