Nice and detailed review. I have just ordered KP3S Pro - the upgraded version of this printer. It has available Y-axis linear rail addition, so you can have all 3 axis with linear rails, it has build-in power supply in frame, it has bigger print size 200*200*200 and X and Y belt tentioners. Also it will come by default with glass bed, but you can have PEI sheet as addition. Everything else is same as on this K3PS. There is also "official" tutorial from Kingroon to run this printer with Klipper which should be even more interesting and will better use the potential of this printer. Now with haloween/11.11 sales and coupons it was able to have Pro version with Y-axis and PEI sheet for around 200$/€ :)

Hm, now I am thinking, why I got the older version for the review. I must be too small channel.

@@MyTechFun :D I think both printers are good. Only Pro version has upgrades which most people would like to see on standard version.

@@MyTechFun I don't think so, they are not available in Europe until late December, so they can't generate sales for the Pro. I guess they have a lot of the non-pro sitting in warehouses, so they send them out for exposure. I bet next year they send you the pro version when they are available everywhere.

@@damustermann I was ordering Pro on 2nd November when they just became "in stock" in EU warehouse (by their website), few days before there was status of availability set to early November for EU warehouse. It was told to me by their chat that printers just arrived to Germany and will be shipped soon. I hope thats true, because i have noticed that stock date was changed to 16th december (it appeared there just 2 days ago).

@@creativ01 I contacted them in September, and they told me they can't get a printer to me (in Germany, too, Moin ;) not before late December. I got a Tronxy Crux1 instead for 130€ as a Warehouse-Deal on AMZ. Poor thing will be modded to Oblivion ;) I hope you get your Pro ASAP, I think they are the best Cantilever Style printers out there (if they really exist).

Thanks! a most excellent review. I just pick up a used one (as-is parts only) which is my first 3D printer for $50. to fix it I only had to repair the 4-wire cable between the main board to the extruder cuz one of the wires was open. I also had to replace the missing heat block throat nozzle and build surface plate (I didn't get the soft Kingroon one that comes with the printer). Though I am just getting started it appears to print the few objects solely for testing very well.

Probably the best in depth review on the Kp3s, but I find it silly that this is the printer Kingroon decided to send out to various youtube reviewers lately. Why not send out their new models? Interested to see your review on the new pro, but don't waste your time on the Kp5l, it needs some serious love.

Hm, yes, I must be too small channel. But this is big improvement, previous two products from Kingroon were LED and Lac spray ;-)

Great review, nice little machine, that build volume is nice and that you can sneak the Z on up to 200mm is great too. If i didn't already have a bunch of ender 2 pros i might consider this one.

It would be interesting to do a side by side comparison with the Tronxy Crux 1.

See Nathan Builds Robots review of the crux 1, the steel wheel motion system introduces ringing on the surface quality. I've not seen anyone running klipper on the tronxy board either. It does have belt tensioners that the KP3S lacks.

Man.. I have the urge to buy a printer like this so I can have it on my desk for quick prototyping but I want something enclosed, imagine a bambu lab x1 mini in this size :O

Voron 0.1?
@ThomasS172 жыл бұрын
I second the Voron 0.1. If you have the time/skills/willingness to build one, and the 120mm build volume is enough, it's exactly what you want. Edit: v0.2 should be out soon, too, but not sure what the exact upgrades are.

Am I insane for wanting to return my SV06 for a standard Kp3S? It seems I am not using all the space that the SV06 provides, and the Kp3s is the perfect size, and also twice as cheap. I just dunno how it fairs with ABS which I do sometimes need to print, wouldn't mind upgrading the hotend to an all metal or bi metal tho.

Can you get TronXY to send you their CRUX 1 to compare? These two seem to be the leading cheap Prusa Mini alternatives. That one has belt tensioners, an internal PSU and conventional attached spool holder for a neater package but lacks the linear rails. Would be interested to hear your take on pros and cons of each.

They contacted me approx 5 months ago and I accepted the review request, but no words from them since that. Usually these companies send the same request to 100x places, and they select more popular ones..

I have a question: I have mine leveled, but the middle (point 5) hits the bed, even though the other ones are all leveled. Any advice?
@MyTechFun Жыл бұрын
Check is any dirt below the pei sheet in center. Or just use 0.3mm on first layer, less sensitive to errors.
@thearchitecht2122 Жыл бұрын
@@MyTechFun Thanks for your reply. didn't expect any as you have a lot of comments around your videos. I checked and there is no dirt. I replaced the PEI sheet with a glass one but the results are the same. Some research suggests it could be the x-axis sagging as the head is heavy. I'm a newbie to 3d printing and I have no idea where to start with that so for now I just print with a raft which seems to alleviate the problem.

Obrigado
@MyTechFun Жыл бұрын
The assembling is easy, there are several options I could suggest: Kingroon KP3S (newer version), Sovol SV06 Plus, BambuLab P1P (depend of your budget)
