Thanks for the video! We had been using camcorders on PTZ heads for many years in our sanctuary. Using an ATEM 1 m/e we took our main audio from an audio mixer. But we also took audio from the cameras built in mics for background congregation sound. It also made for backup audio if there was ever a problem with the audio board. Mixing was done in the ATEM, keeping the camera audio at mostly low levels. But could be ramped up in a pinch if needed. (One example, testimony mic fails.) We just moved to PTZcams and I'm certainly missing those audio feeds from the cameras. Was looking for a viable solution to restore them. Thanks.

How can you connect a mixer to my camera? I want the sound of all the microphones to into the camera while I'm streaming

I recommend a Zoom u-22 battery powered. It has also a fantoom out. The ting you dont want is this setup is a exstra power line. And if you use a NDI powered camera. You have only one cabel .

Hi, Thank you for this video, im currently experiencing this as i have a SMTAV PTZ and it has an audio line in and not mic in. However the Mic im inserting into the line jack isnt a phantom mic and it doesnt need power, but still i get no audio. The link for the Rolls Mini Preamp in your description doesnt direct me to the product, do you have an updated link for it? i aslo cant find the product on Amazon. Great Video, i was actually struggling and confused about the audio on my ptz. Thanks for your help with this.

How can I get audio into our church livestream? Our ptz cameras don't have line in. The audio will come directly from our main pa board. The cameras are connected via usb into computer. Thanks any help!

Thank you. But 1 question: I plug the 1/8 inch into the camera, 1/4 inch into the interface. Using the USB from interface to computer, do I need any more cables? Is that really all I need to merge audo/video together into OBS? OR do I need to plug 1/4 inch cables from the mains of a mixing board into the ports of the interface? Looks simple, but not quite sure... Thanks in advance

The Shotgun mic to use in these cameras do they have to have their own power along with the preamp's power , or can it a Mic with out it's own power , seen that one of Mics had battery source in the mic , did one of mics not have the battery power to it ?
@Foundery2 жыл бұрын
The camera cannot supply power. so if the mic needs phantom power it will need to be battery powered.

Trying to do this setup with an Audio-Technica Mic and Rolls Mini Mic Preamp, using xlr cable and xlr to linje in cable, and I seem to get pretty bad / distorted audi when recoding in obs through NDI, andy pointers for troubleshooting or what could I be doing wrong? Tried doing some filters and adjusting gain levels, but I'm not really a audio guy.

Oh, and the cameria is a smtav 30 zoom ndi camera.

We ended up buying a HDMI capture device, specificly the Elegato CAM link 4k, and capturing video/audio from that instead of NDI, got rid of all latency issues then.
