played with both. but I found hummels to be the better defender, also strong in the air! scored many corners goals for me. However if you're up against doumbia, remy, emenike etc you get outpaced time to time. Nonetheless Silva isnt bad either edit: if you want best of both worlds. buy Boateng (bayern munich) he's by far the best CB I've used. also Chiellieni and Barzagli are OP
