depends, my first car is a 320i e46 and have never worked on cars before but ive learned to do a lot of stuff on it myself and its easy to work on and not expensive in parts(At least in europe) but it is thirsty and has high road tax where im from

@@emilymehner2266 it's a clever phrase, essentially they are luxury cars. with luxury caliber repair bills. when a BMW is sold for a low price, the likelihood that it has been properly maintained with OEM parts is reduced. now, you can get a $5k BMW and with another $3k make it an absolute stunner. But if you buy a $2k bimmer, you will need that 3-4k to make it drivable. Parts are expensive, if you are not doing your own repairs / maintenance - double all of the above figures.

I wish you showed the separation between bumper and crash bar. Very difficult to find the procedure on KZbin. Remove and install is easy, it is the crash install that I wish I could see done.

If you ever decide to do angel eyes, please do an in-depth tutorial for facelift coupe like yours. I’ve been dying to get angel eyes but I don’t know how to wire and I heard you have to bake the headlights in the oven to get it open🤦🏾‍♂️

@@Need4vtec yeah you have to get led angel eyes they are must have. And if you decide to go wild go and get led foglights and led licence plate lights. So cheap parts but big difference.

@@TheZallene I did angel eyes in my facelift last summer, wasn't too bad. Had to take the front headlight cover off to insert/mount the angel eyes, then I just used quick connects (T connects?) to tap the angel eyes into the lights for the cabin. To do that had to take the passenger glove compartment down for running the wires, but otherwise it is quite easy and there are videos on KZbin that are very helpful

Suggestion for an upcoming vid mate: LED interior light upgrade. I got my E46 about 6 months ago and changed the bulbs in the rear number plate, cockpit lights, glovebox and floor lights and it suits the facelift models really well, especially with the LED taillights. Loving the vids, been here for months watching, keep up the good content mate!

finally a video that shows the arms/hangers, all other videos skip that step or they are idiots and relied on the clips which they will soon regret, i do my ride the right way, any e46 owner will tell you the stock clips are garbage, ironically why i had to get a new bumper, was driving down the road and the bumper just fell off and i completely ran over it and totaled it, so i just said ill get the m3 bumper something with more style to set off my convertible e46, only problem i had was you didnt show how to fit the new bumper on, do they just clip into the the arms/hangers and bolt the 2 hex bolts threw the bumper and crash bar, did you need to reuse the old clips because ill have to order them if so they got lost when i ran over my old bumper lol

I did mine about a year ago. Looks way better.. but the problem with mine is a couple shut lines are bigger than others? How do i sort?? I did a full swap - Front/Rear&Side Skirts on my cabby.. all i need now is rear LED and interior screen upgrade

Or lift up the bonnet and remove the head light so you can see how much your adjusting it and you can line it up better or yeah remove the bumper but you will keep taking it on and off till you've got it done how you want it 👍

Does the Msport have the same wings as a non M version?? Im curious how easy fitting the headlamps is, and that depends on the wing i suspect. Im going to swap my 330ci front with my 318 Msport, then swap the wheels and rear lights too as my Msport 318 just failed MOT and the 330ci would look nice upgraded...

Thanks man🙏 and to answer your question, it all comes down to money😅 I'm not sure where you live but the running cost of an m3 in Ireland are insanely high. Id love to own one but at moment not financially secure enough to own one and worry everyday if I'll be able to fix it if something goes wrong with it. I only picked up the e46 for KZbin as I see some potential in the channel. Hopefully one day it's gonna help me get that m3😁

I would leave the oem bumpers. Instal some sport suspension: eibach or bilstein, with some nice 16 inches rims, not larger, and sport tyres: Michellin or something else.
