I like your no nonsense approach to fragrance reviews. I also like that you are not too emotionally invested in the reactions you garner either. I had maybe 3-4 colognes (4, let's see: CK One, Armani Homme *orig, L'eau D'Issey, and Burberry Brit) in October of 2014, and little by little I got a bottle here and a bottle there, to where now I have 70-80 full size bottles 2oz+ (man, I should really take inventory), not counting a dozen or so that I got, didn't like, and gave away. Your Top 20 Men's Fragrances/Colognes for Beginners formed the backbone of my *collection* (I cringe as I say that, haha), and I still enjoy your cheap but good series. You and Christo(?), and to a lesser degree, Jeremy were the reasons or inspirations for why I started to develop an interest in collecting fragrances - this unabashedly 1st world hobby... The only things going for it is that it's a lot cheaper than my other 2 hobbies, and I smell better for it. Thanks for your thoughtful, rigorous reviews, and keep up the good work. Do know that I have watched hundreds of hours of frag reviews on u2b in these last 10 months, and you are the bees knees, the cat's meow, the fellow who's kickin the chickin.

This is my favorite gourmand frag and normally I hate sweet stuff or gourmand. But surprisingly, I love this. It makes me smile all day long

this one last on my skin for 15 hours....crazy i know, but all gourmand/sweet scent is last long on my skin. Think my skin loves sweet stuff

Well done Greg, you were spot on as usual. This fragrance does have performance issues but smells well enough to garner compliments. It's a winner for me at work but it's not one of my favourites.

"Cheap but good":Ungaro III, plain and simple, is the most underrated juice that i have ever come across. What do you think of this perfume? It was created by Jacques Polge and Francois Demachy.

oh and if I may make a request of a fragrance for you to review, I suggest Ralph Lauren's Polo Red (edt or edp "intense"). very popular last year and earlier this year, and not a lot of reviews for the popularity it enjoys - quite in contrast to the Karl Lagerfeld release of 2013 that fell flat on it's face - and deservedly so imho.

Great fragrance! I prefer Rochas over this, but for the price and availability you can go wrong with Legend. It's a shame the performance isn't too good for you Greg! I get a good 8 hours and moderate projection, the creamy dry down is lovely!

Nice review. This is a good cheapie that I wish lasted longer. I also only get about 3 or 4 hrs longevity with it. I think the bottle is hideous. I don't really want to see a bald dude's silhouette on a bottle. Lol
