Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use kzbin.infoUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

Had hard water in Albuquerque, New Mexico and it didn’t improve now that I’m in San Antonio, Texas. No matter how fast I dried, even with drying agents and Griot’s PFM Towels I had spots. These Filters arrived on Monday and I installed to my water source and flushed per instructions. Washed this morning using PFM Foam Cannon, combined with 2 bucket wash method. Enhanced Foam and suds in my wash bucket. Rinsed using power washer and dried with PFM Towels. Didn’t rush through the drying process as in the past. My days of dealing with hard water are over. Highly recommended these filters! Another great recommendation from AutoFanatic!

Ah damn I thought I was the only one who thought of using a RV filter lol. I use a CLEAR 20 filter model CRV2001. It was about 20 bucks and lasts 6 months. It filters anything greater than 1 micron. My pressure is decreased but not much. I suppose its due to the efficiency of the filter. I recommend using a wash bucket full of distilled water too.

I actually started using these a while ago after watching this video. I live in Texas and we have very hard water and even in the shade/garage, we get water spots almost instantly - especially with the warm weather when the water evaporates quickly it causes other issues with soap suds drying too quickly and leaving a residue requiring more time rinsing the car or having our drying towels on the damp side. After the first few cars I've had to wash, it's insane how good this works and how cheap it is. Minimal to no water spots making it easier to dry my cars, and the foam from the foam cannon is considerably thicker, much less runny. Now the only water spots I get on my cars is from the rain or when the wind blows when my sprinkler system is active.

Using a water filter is a good idea on any application such as this, but no filter like this will reduce hardness which is a primary inhibiter of sudsing. You would need a deionizing filter / RO / water softener to do this, which auto fanatic pointed out are $$$. Again this is a high quality filter and can’t hurt using it, but greatly improved results directly caused by installing this filter are overblown. These filters are for bacteria and sediment removal.
@pgrant7688
@pgrant7688 5 жыл бұрын
I used to use these Camco filters with my RV, but I don’t anymore - they work well enough for potable water but there are better filters for that purpose. I’ve found another use for the Camco filters with the power washer and foam cannon. As AF states, it has made a difference as far as water spotting goes. The one difference with this video is, we aligned our hoses like an RV - a long hose from the faucet to the filter, then a short hose from the filter to our attachment. This is so whatever particles from the inside of the long hose don’t reach your attachment. Probably unnecessary but it’s what you do as an RVer and it’s worked well.

I am not sure if this filter will have any impact on hard water. Its active ingredient is not a water softening resin (polyphosphate in most cases) but charcoal for better taste. I guess your car will be happier with less chlorine taste on its paint lol. Cheers, the chemist

I’ve read on these and I’m pretty sure they do not remove dissolved calcium. The company actually don’t mention calcium at all, although I’m sure it does take care of scale chunks. Aren’t water spots mostly dissolved calcium left behind? All that being said, I am not doubting that the other chemicals filtered out do enhance your foaming and washing, and if it gets you where you want to be then kudos. I would like to see an evaporation test done to see what calcium is left behind though.

Well in just two years they raised the price over 20%. I purchased anyway, seeing that you already did the legwork on choosing an inline filter for my pressure washer. And as far as cleaning cars is concerned, my strategy is to apply a ceramic coating and then once a week or so take a few minutes and wipe down with a cleaner/wax spray. Infiniti 2014 QX50. Still looks showroom, almost always. Hope you are correct on this filter allowing adequate water flow for the health of the pressure washer pump. Mine is a 3GPM Vortexx unit. Thanks

Great info and explanation on how it works and set up. Would definitely like to see what your dissolved solids count is before and after. I know you said it it's better and helps, but that is more subjective. Would love to see what the actual reduction is with it. Thanks for sharing.

You should do a tds test to so before and after to show the numbers of the results.

I notice you never tested the TDS. I'm curious how effective this filter is at creating "spotless" water.

I would say that's not a solution in itself. Maybe add it in front of the CR spotless system to make the resin last longer? Testing for TDS will tell the true results. The CR Spotless test results are always 0 when working properly. I don't think those little filters will get those results by themselves. I'm very happy with my CR spotless system, and I never have to deal with water spots. Just rinse and air dry. My only issue is paying $240 for a cubic foot of resin! If there's a way to get more mileage out of the resin, I'm sold! Just ordered a 2 pack...

Hi Steve I had CR system years ago and our water is so bad that I was replacing the resins every two months then it became too cost prohibitive to keep using it. Where I live our water has excessive chlorine which affects water spots, flash rust on rotors and foam output in a foam cannon and these Camco filters really help so much not only here but thousands of users all over the USA have reported the same great results. Every water supply is different and yes TDS is something to consider but the chemicals being on the high scale also need to be considered. Try it on yours and let us all know if you do get longer yield on your resins.

@@autofanaticcars Tried the filter alone, and got a lot of water spots. 500+ TDS when I tested it. CR spotless is 0, and leaves 0 spots. I was hoping the filter would make my resin last longer, but the TDS from my house is no different than the camco filter...

Wondering how do you know this is good if your didn’t test out the PPM. I know your tittle doesn’t state this is Di Water equivalent to 0 PPM. Which is the best method when it comes washing a car out door in high temperature. Reason why I’m asking is because I’ve been trying to research what is the best filter to use to get the most effective way to not get water spots. Some people on there videos have gotten more hard water from using this filters then just out the Tap. Just wondering. Because with out the actual Di tanks is hard. Great video BTW

Do you think this would work for well water? We are on a well and don’t want to purchase a water softening system if we can avoid it, as they’re so expensive! But our water leaves so many spots on the vehicles, and deposits on the windows, even if rushing to dry it immediately. I’m super interested to give this a try!

How many washes out of one of these? Ballpark? Also- do you think you have to use a regular rubber hose to connect to pressure washer or can one of those flex hoses work too?
