Cheap Chinese ESC bursts into flames! - Gensace Basher Lipo Battery test/review. 5000mah 50c 4s

Gensace sent me some of their Basher Lipos to test. The ZD Racing Pirates 2 performed very well, these are really good quality Lipos!

Unfortunately as you can see, it decided to burst in to flames lol. This was nothing to do with the Lipos. The ESC's on these Chinese RC Cars are pretty poor, and even ones that say they are 'Waterproof' are usually not!

Like I see what you're running and I would say you have a coolant fan on the ESC which is very smart so the ESC you was just a cheap Chinese knockoff this is what had me worried about running my Gin Ace 2's 2p 50 c 7000 mAh and my Traxxas ultimate 4 by 4 / not for speedruns or bashing but just regular old RC fun and maybe hit the short course track I'm just starting to get into what the 25c 50c 75c short course batteries R4 and I've been told even though I love Traxxas I can build or buy a Short Course Truck and have it perform right out the gate that would dust a 4 by 4 slash ultimate which it's the Short Course Truck Edition I mean it's built for racing the one thing I can say is way too powerful even with the 4200 milliamp 2 s lipo which I run in my trx4 crawler and not even out 2 minutes and it was my fault I had it on the asphalt it got air and then endowed on the left rear tire tread and bent it but I already reached 45 miles an hour without the pinion gear and I was told that I did not have to put that pinion gear in just watch my b u r St r a t e sorry I have to use speech to text my hands are numb spinal damage. Sorry if this doesn't make no sense I'm just trying to get as much information as possible because this 4200 milliamp gen Ace 2s lipo came with my crawler and they're 11.1 volt and and I charge at 4.2 that's what they told me to charge it at well I was at the hobby store buying a hitec rdx1 charger and if someone could explain the difference between the 11.1 volt Traxxas 3 s 4000 mAh power cell which I believe maybe a battery like this gentleman is running to get top speed which I found out that I do not want to run that in my Traxxas Slash ultimate because it will just ripped the gears apart even though everything on that vehicle is highly durable and I know that a Short Course Truck is 2 cell lipo I believe it's 5800 milliamps 50 c or 75c. You made it down this way I do appreciate it and congratulations if this speech to text is very easy it doesn't get all the words right all the time that's the only way I can communicate and learn so I don't make mistakes thank you and congratulations again if you made it this far and I feel bad for this guy that his Vehicles getting ready to catch fire.

I bought a ZD DBX10 and Im regretting it, the battery that came with it was absolute crap, 1 cell dead, so I used some xop 3s 6000mAh 60C, 2 packs in the ESC burnt.

hi so i have a rustler vxl stadium and i recently got a new motor yes its brushless and i got a new esc as well its a vxl-3s esc and it says it can take 200a continuously but i dont know a whole lot about that so ima just grt straight to my question i recently bought 2 ovonic 8000mAh 11.1v 3s lipo batterys and i want to connect both of them to it but youtube is not saying if its bad or not so can i run them without blowing anything?

My URUAV 1/24 4WD 2.4G Mini RC Car Crawler Model is not working and I just got it but can't send it back it's annoying because the steering has no torque at all so if it is still and you steer it nothing happens so I added an extension to the servo arm that allows it to steer more but what do you think I should do to regain torque

That ESC was not rated to handle a 4S with especially with that motor. Most cheap Chinese 120a ESC and even a little better like hobbywing top at 3S with a motor under 3900kv at 3650 and above size. Hobbywing 10BL120 actually specs to run 3S max motor size of 13.5T (3050KV).
