Just had this video pop up in my recommended. 14 years on that Lancer still looks darn good. Better than the sea of boring SUVs and crossovers out there. I think it looks better than any of today's compact sedans too. Mitsubishi got the styling right.

@davidgalinat42574 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Some people won't consider buying a car with any dash lights on. And rightly so. $150 is not that much of an investment to get it right.

Change the cabin air filter (Parts Geek for $4). Inspect/clean/change the air filter. Clean the spark plugs. I couldn't tell if there were floor mats in the front, but you can get some nice cushy used ones from LKQ for $5. You should be able to get $3500 for the car. Once you get a tire changer machine and balancer, you can put in TPMS sensors yourself. You can put in a Bluetooth aftermarket radio with GPS and backup camera for around $100. Dent in door looks better, but Weird Beard could make it even better. However, he puts way too many hours into fixing things! I am not sure how the whole wheel sensor went missing! Nice video Randy!

While I understand that the paint on that Lancer was already messed up Randy, for the next time you should consider the two bucket method. Specially for your nice cars if you intend to wash them yourself, you get way better results, the clear stays nice for longer and the paint is going to look a whole lot less swirly.

Good job Randy, it is a flip car so have to gauge effort, profit and safety. We all get really lazy with so many electronic sensors now. I think people will understand it is a used vehicle.

Where I live a TPMS warning is an instant fail on selling a vehicle. We can't have any warning lights or oil leaks. Most people trade-in or auction their old cars because its too hard to sell them. People interstate buy them up. My last one I traded in and the dealer sold it interstate. They doubled their money on it.

Concerning the TMPS, I owned an 09 Lancer for about 9 years went through a few TMPSes. For some reason despite the TMPS sensors being able to be swapped with generic ones, the programming has to be done by a dealer/someone with the correct Mitsubishi computer. Odds are that all the sensors are there, but they never bothered to get them programmed at a dealership. My personal opinion is that you should just go get it done and sell the car in perfect working order.

I think the Lancer needed a quick respray for the hood and the rear spoiler, and definitely a replacement door. TPMS systems are often more trouble than they're worth and you may be able to disable it completely with your code scanner. BTW, did you check that the tyres are actually at their correct pressures?
