High priced costa sunglasses is just ripping off the gullible who think they have the superior quality sunglasses but it’s all about marketing. If you think they are expensive then that means they are the best . A trick they’ve been uses for ages . I had a pair of costa before and also cheap polarized sunglasses before and I tell you that you would not know the difference in the view you get . Now I’m wearing a pair of dollar general solar accents polarized sunglasses and will save my money for other uses .

I have a a few pair of Costa Del Mars. They are awesome. The comparison between the two shown in this video is so obvious. I wouldn’t wipe my butt with the grotesque knock offs. If you can’t buy the real thing right away, do your best to save up. It will be worth the wait. Enjoy the sun everyone.

The real big difference is in the quality of the lens. That's what you pay for with Costas. The polarization is crap with the cheaper glasses, gas station polarized glasses have better quality than them, But hey if that's what you want than go for it. No harm in that.

I got the 250$ from Cabela's and returned them cause they were no better at seeing in the water then the 12 year old $25 Calcutta's I have. I expected to see through the water better and there was no diff. I saw the guides wearing them and thought they must be better at seeing into the water. Not! It's all about Fashion and some gimmicky shit. Then I found the same ones on line for $35 and thought what heck, I'll give them a try so I can look like Joe Cool. They have the blue cloth, heavy case, 580, raised logo, markings inside, very light and comfortable. Dang, I'm not sure what I got now.

I've bought some fakes that are a lot better quality than those. They have the lettering on inside and is VERY hard to tell from the real deal. I guess they are getting better at faking them. Thanks for the video!

I don’t even know why I’m watching these right now. Ive worn costas for years. People are saying that costa started getting crappy after luxotica bought them out and their customer service sucks. I wear fan tails salt breaks and tuna alley all 250 a piece and can’t wear any different glasses. All mine have been bought from notable retailers such as sun glass world I always keep my receipts boxes and storing case. Took my salt breaks off at work to clean them and like a dumbass slammed them in between my leg and door in my truck and broke one of the lenses, I only get the glass lenses 580g they used to make a 400g. And I have a pair of tuna alley. Dropped off a sign at work from a hundred ft also glass lenses. The lenses didn’t even scratch but the frame broke in half at the nose piece. So went online did a work order submitted my pictures of glasses, damage, and receipt for both pairs. They honored the warranty and now I’m getting two new pairs of glasses for 124 because the only way it’s for free is if it’s a manufacturer defect and the frames do not break so my work order for my tuna alleys were free no charge. Went from tortoise shells tuna alley to the black out frame with blue 580g lenses. Also getting my favorite pair back my salt breaks. Idk why people say that their customer service sucks but I’ve never had a problem and ive probably sent in 8 to 10 pairs in the last 15 years and not once did I have a problem, so I’m a die hard costa fan. I just don’t see a better pair of hardcore fishing glasses out there.

I just had a great experience with customer service. Brought a pair of fantails back in 2017 and the rubber bise piece just came off. I opened a support case online, uploaded the pictures required and a copy of my receipt. The next day, I had an email saying they would replace the pair of sunglasses with a brand new pair. I sent in my pair and they sent me back a new pair

Beware I have a fake pair and they are improving them, the case comes with a pretty legit cleaning cloth that has the costa written on it. Also comes with a authenticity card inside, and the 580P on the lens

I usually get Oakleys but I work on the water and want to try out a set of Costas to see what all the hype is about and if they are that much better then Oakleys.

Costas are definitely declining in quality ever since luxotica bought Costa out. Customer service is now a joke at Costa. And Costa is firing 275 out of 395 employees from their Daytona Beach manufacturing facility. Yes, I know someone who is getting fired. I live in the area on Merritt Island...

Unfortunately you received a very low quality replica. I have some high quality replicas from a vendor that I pay anywhere from 20 to $30 and they're dead on when comparing 580p and 580p I've taken them to Sunglass Hut and Academy and you can't tell the difference and they're all polarized UV protected impact-resistant lenses with the tr90 frame. I could tell the ones you recived we're low quality just buy the zipper handle the ones that I receive have the Costa logo and all of that even on the zipper handle has the blue. it is trial and error but once you find a good vendor you stick with them. It's amazing how they can make them look exactly the same to the T.

@@kennethgreene6147 You can always ask the vendor to send you original pictures and make sure that the sunglass lens has 580p. The P stands for polycarbonated and the g stands for glass. The person up top wass correct AliExpress is usually the way to go if you don't receive what you like you can always send it back or get your money back. Make sure that the lenses are polarized polycarbonated.

my Costa Brines have Copper Glass lenses love em. but the frames are quite worn from over 5 years of use. just recently got a pair of Rafaels with Copper Mirror lenses which seem to be even better :) I'll stick with them, my eyes are worth it.

I just found a pair of the costaxocearch spearo 580g in the ocean yesterday they look brand new I know whoever lost these was pissed big time. I’ll put them to good use that’s for sure. But when I put them on I knew they were something nice. The glass lenses are the best and the clarity is something else. Makes me want to have a pair of 580g lenses for the rest of my life. I could never have justified the $270 to buy mine but now... idk maybe.... I get why people who have the money would get them but if you don’t have money like that then buy the $30 ones all day lol. All I know is when I seen them I knew I found something special but I never would have guessed they were $270 glasses!!! Win.

One issue on cheap ass copies is you have no real knowledge if they are blocking UV light very well. If buying cheap buy some Renegades at wally or some Calcutta shades. At least you know what you are getting.

If you wear eye glasses and have insurance start buying them through a eye clinic. I got mine with script lenses for $120 after insurance. Thought this was pretty good deal. Although mine are the real deal they do lack the stamp on the lenses. I do assume this is do to them being a prescription lens.

they both suck, the poly glasses have a thin coat of uv protection after using these only 2 months the lens coating started to disintegrate, so I bought the glass expensive ones with lifetime warranty, well that was bs, the temple arm broke after 3mo the warranty is non existent, been trying to deal with them for over 3 weeks,, still broke

I recently bought a pair of fake Costa tuna alley glasses. I own several real pairs of costas these fakes were close but not as good. They have the breather holes and are polarized. They don't have the rubber on the nose and ear pieces tho. Look good tho for $18.99

I found some Costas for $33 somewhere on Facebook. I couldn't decide if i wanted the permits or the reeftons so for $33 i thought screw it I'll just buy both. 1 month later they finally show up and they're both the exact same pair. So now i have 2 identical pairs of POS (clearly) fake costas. They are way too small for my head and the lenses hurt my eyes. I can't even wear them. They look good on my 8 and 9 year old daughters though. 😆 This happened this morning and I've been bummed all day about it and by the end of the day i have a pair of REAL Reeftons on the way. 😎
