Just a thought. You can make DIY spacers easy if you don’t care about the color by buying the cheapest length of 2” pvc pipe at your local hardware store and a few minutes with a hacksaw and sandpaper and you’re done. Well under a couple bucks and takes maybe an hour including an average trip to the hardware store. If you do want color you can always paint them or wrap with colored electrical tape too.

Sure the extras such as barbell holders, spacers, wheels etc add up but you are getting full 'bang for buck' for getting the most out of it and for me the most important part is the amount of space you save by not having to mount a gun rack to store barbells. Who knows maybe Rogue will update this weight tree to include some of the extras you have mentioned at a reduced price instead of having to buy them as add ons. Good video Brandon thanks.

@2:45 - Unrelated to the topic but more of a curiosity (because I’ve decided to start back from square one for my front squat [no rack to do back squat] and sumo deadlift to fix my form so my torso angle remains the same from start to end) ... have you always squatted using the same form where the hip drives up while your torso starts to leans over ... because it sort of looks like a mini-semi-good morning squat?
@BasementBrandon3 жыл бұрын
Low bar squats will have a less vertical torso angle due to the placement of the bar and mechanics needed to keep the weight over the mid-foot.
@strawberryyogurt03 жыл бұрын
@@BasementBrandon ... I do realize that low bar squats have a less vertical angle, and maybe it’s just me, but I think having the hips and shoulders rise at the same time "might" be "better" even for low bar squats. @2:45 point, it looks like your hips shoots up first, causing your torso to dip downwards. Anyways, you’ve got more in the bar than I’ll ever lift in the squat, so you’re doing something right.

As I'm watching the part of the vid when you showed the adjustable dumbell it popped in my head, have you come across any dumbells or barbells that have a screw style securing system on the inside of the sleeves of the bar rather than on the outside or having to waste a couple inches at the end of each side for a lock jaw type or spring type collar? @@BasementBrandon ah, I thought I saw them in the video, and then checked their site, but didn’t see them - the man has the hookup! Excellent. I ordered revolvers, with 35’s, which for some reason offends many people lol. Anyway, looking forward to your review - your new plates are beauties.
