Julie is so ‘funny’ and yet so ‘practical.’ The ‘2 minute tips’ are great for us ‘curious ones.’

Love you Julie. That is the most precise scientific answer I've ever heard (the large molecule thang) about what the difference is. And I've heard a lot of people opine on this topic. 💗

Julie, Thank you so much for this clear and helpful video! I paint with water soluble oils . One area I am very confused about is the mediums offered for water soluble oils. I understand the concepts of fat over lean, thick over thin, slow drying over quick drying, but there is not much out there about the actual process of painting with these mediums...how much to use, when to use them in the painting process, and exactly how to introduce them...in a cup? On the brush? On the palette? A video on mediums that doesn't merely name the medium and it'spurpose, but an actual demonstration would be appreciated. Thanks!

Julie- great job. Would you please talk about putting water mixable oils on paper? Thank you!

Molecular size? I guess it is…I couldn’t argue that, but I heard it explained that manufacturers using some sort of emulsifier…enabling the oil & water to mix….sort of like when you make your own salad dressing…the vinegar & oil emulsify…at least for a bit, then you’ll have to shake it again.

Do water soluble oils dry at the same speed as regular oil paints? When we need to thin water soluble oils, can we simply add more water? How do we deal with fat over lean and still retain the water soluble oils attributes?

How do you store H2O oil paints. Left them in freezer and then they were wrecked? Thanks.

Water soluble oils also contain an emulsifier to allow the water and oil to mix do they not?
