The supercharger relies on the engine speed to make cfm. So it never reaches max blower speed until the engine redlines. That's why it moves more air at engine redline. Superchargers power band is linear similar to a n/a graph. For efficiency id say. turbo > supercharger. The turbo engine is more volumetric efficient vs a supercharged engine ?

It's unfortunate that there's really no such thing as a cheap centrifugal supercharger. Especially in milder setups, the combination of simplified plumbing and progressive boost curve would be a clear winner. Unfortunately, their expense means that anyone considering a centrifugal has literally every other option competing against it.

Did you ever spray meth water into the turbo inlet? You talked about it before. I want to see the real data, i am battling high IAT’s - limited on space so no ATW. Have a smaller fmic- looking to cool charge temps to keep it from pulling tons of timing. Do it! 😁

I think a supercharger would make more sense on a daily driver than a turbo would. I have a 2016 Turbocharged Cruze and one of the bad things I hear is the damage the turbo does because of the heat. The oil feed line runs right behind the turbo and it is known to cause the oil line to plug up. I also had a 04 Impala SS SC and I thought that having that instant boost made for a better daily driver. But going by the tests that you made, turbo would be the choice for all out performance.👍👍

Still trying to find a way to adapt a newer style roots blower with a throttle body to a gen 1 small block Chevy. The only thing I can come up with is a old style supercharger intake with a plate like he made for the 4.8. But I can't figure out how to do the fuel injectors , and the supercharger inlet will more than likely interfere with the distributor. I have both a car with a 305 and a car with an m90 supercharger and I want to see how the 305 would react to the supercharger.

so many engines are not tuned to run on ethanol, but they are running on it regardless... oem setup made to max out on that normal 87 gas... they don't have flow capacity for anything else. 3000 feet up running at 90%, pump sells ethanol even tho its listed as 87... 62% of 90% is that mandated 50% reduction cap, 10mpg on a 4.6 V8 making oem power on that nonsense gas is just about the biggest win NA their is... nothing else is actually tuned for it, they just run at half capacity. "idle fuel consumption at 30,50,70mph, blower vs turbo"

@@SergioRodriguez-mc4cp before I swapped any engine, I would update the rest of the drivetrain if it hasn't been done already. Also because I like to save weight where I can, maybe consider a 4.3 liter V6. Would give you the added horsepower and mileage wouldn't be so bad either. Of the two options you listed, LS3. Not before tons and transmission and transfer case upgrades. Hope this helps.

Either on a coyote 5.0, on a 4.8 I’d probably go supercharger to pick up the revs on the 4.8. Either would be fun on either engine. One of these days I want to donate my truck for you to do something crazy! I have a newer Sierra 1500 with 10 speed and 5.3. I’d love to see what these can do with a good cam And or supercharger or turbo or pro charger
