It's always a bit sad when lots of hard work can't be seen in the final build. But you know it's there and now we know, too. nice work.
@h.a.98809 ай бұрын
Indeed, but I also think that the hard work is still very well visible. It's a neat little detail that adds some vibrant colors to catch the eye, so people will take a closer look and then see all the hard work that went into every single grafitti.

Iv watched this twice now bc I’m blown away by the amount of detail you took on but couldn’t put my finger on how it could be closer to the source. I think it’s that the stencils are all the same rough size and tags aren’t that exact in most cases. A few that were taller or shorter mixed in maybe. Brilliant work either way.
@NScaleDystopia9 ай бұрын
Sometimes making something small, doesn't mean the scale is correct. The graffiti could have been more refined. It was 'small enough', but not quite accurate enough. Thanks for the comment - it's great feedback.

Amazing work. Watching this channel here and on other social media really inspires so many ideas for unconventional model railways. I think 1980s grubby British Rail diesels were already pretty dystopian feeling at the time so could be really interesting!

When it comes to scale structures, I can't recommend Balsa Wood and Styrofoam sheeting enough. Can be used to make pretty much anything you can imagine, and so much cheaper than your average kit. Styro can be hardened up nicely with some Mod-Podge sealer. Add some Styrene sheeting for detail and/or load-bearing parts, and then you're *really* cooking with gas. You can get it in pre-textured or plain stock from pretty much any hobby outlet. Evergreen makes some great quality plain-stock. Plastruct and Plasticard also make some good pre-textured stock, but it's far more expensive.
@NScaleDystopia9 ай бұрын
I use quite a bit of styrene. I have access to a wholesaler that makes it far cheaper than buying commercial products

@NScaleDystopia9 ай бұрын

@pacificcoastminiatures9 ай бұрын
@@neuparadigmABS can also be 3D printed just a bit more difficult. I doubt they are a big enough manufacturer to do injection molding but who knows. They might have started off with just 3d printing and now are moving to other manufacturing processes.

Burnt-out buildings, dreary overpasses, the rust-stained walls of desolate parks, underground passageways, rail yards, the least loved and lest visited subway terminals and neighborhoods all of these places collect the lively scripts of graffiti. Like hieroglyphic weeds the names of the artists call out in bright and surprising color. On the grimmest city blocks it may be the only color in sight. When the adults, the authorities and the city government have all abandon these places graffiti flourish and sing out defiant responses: This place is not forgotten, not by everyone. Not by me. I am still here. I live.
