Been running mine in my camper van for 2 years straight. Not one problem and have not turned it off even one time. Keep your vents clear. It does not use much power at all. I have a buddy with a dometic and his blew up in under a year. I recommend this product 👌

Looking forward to the long-term review. I did a search on the LG compressor and there have been a lot of problems with it, resulting in lawsuits. Maybe those issues have been worked out, maybe not. We'll see. Thanks for the vid.

@@DaveOTG any update on this LG compressor vs the original cheaper ones?

I just recently got one. I have question about it. Does the battery meter measure an internal battery, if so does that mean it can run a battery power? The reason I’m asking is because I had mine connected in my truck for about a week but just recently switched it over to another vehicle, and in doing so I noticed that it shut off until I connected to a power source again. I vaguely remember being able to turn it on without it being connected but I’m not sure. I would appreciate it if you could help clear that up for me. Should it be able to power on under its own battery power or does it have to be connected in order to power on?
@DaveOTG4 ай бұрын
There is no battery built in. Battery meter measures external/house/coach battery. It needs a power source

Hey Dave. I’ve been thinking about placing 12v refrigerator in the center console area of my Sienna. I found a refrigerator that has a width of 12.6 inches. I’m wondering if that is small enough for me to avoid grinding of the seats. (I still need to remove center console and arm rests) However this refrigerator is 30 quart capacity which is much smaller than yours. So I’m concerned whether the volume is going to be an issue for two adults. I have never owned a portable refrigerator so any thoughts will be very much appreciated.
@DaveOTG3 жыл бұрын
It depends if you're okay with going grocery shopping more often. I wanted to biggest one that would fit (barely lol) for the convenience. 12.6" should be plenty of space. Grab yourself a measuring tape!

Can it be used as a freezer and fridge at the same time?

No
@alive-awake2 жыл бұрын
Does it have a drain plug inside? Can you store both frozen and fresh produce or do you have to do one or the other? You don't want to freeze your veggies and you don't want your ice cream to melt.
@DaveOTG2 жыл бұрын
No drain, you'll need to wipe down the condensation once in awhile. Freezer or frig. Here's my 2 year review here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3_RdqeemNBsfMU

I hope you have better luck than my alpicool CF35 it worked great for about 2 yrs then all of a sudden just frost in one little part of the side wall inside was on a bumpy highway about 20 miles "rough" road the sign said. lol I think it has a restriction since the bouncy road jostling fest. SO ALPICOOL help me out here. Bought mine Aug. 10.2019

Have you checked with the warranty department? My cf55 has been flawless
@powpow10803 жыл бұрын
This is why people are buying these, because two of them both cost similar to a Dometic or ARB, and last as long between two of them.
@livinglifemyway73493 жыл бұрын
Good job Dave. I would like to see Alpicool have a place for a 110 hookup instead of swapping cords, cause sometimes you roll up to a power post and then it could switch automatically to 110 ac or back to 12 v dc . Anyway good luck with it. I am still waiting to hear from Alpicool about my dead CF35, But so far they have wooden ears. And I will not buy another if they do not respond. Too many other companies out there now days.
@cdoublejj Жыл бұрын
that would mean a higher price to include an inverter/power suply in the fridge, and may mean smaller food storage space, or even bigger exterior dimensions and even more cost added. hence the external brick. you get your dead one serviced by a repair guy yet?

Hi I bought a vevor cf55 fridge which is exactly the same. It works well except the fan noise which is for me much too loud. I made a video showing the fan noise kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5qUYqFvbbJoi80 Could someone confirm the noise is "normal" Should I replace the unit with an alpicool? I bought it for 235 euros... thanks

Idk about that brand but try running for awhile and see how it goes. That fan noise might be just on first start up
