Cheap Pure Sine inverter? BESTEK 500W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter DC 12V

This is my testing and review of the "BESTEK 500-W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter DC 12V." Pure sine wave inverters are recommended for electronic equipment and sensitive medical equipment. Pure Sine Wave Power Inverters are very expensive, so I look for cheap alternatives that work - and this one does.

Why can't we see the "dirty sine wave" you evaluated on the oscilloscope so we can judge for ourselves? Would have been interesting and educational.

Be careful the red model will blow your electrictrnics. It's modified but you must read all specks.

Thanks for the review…I own two of their smaller 300 watt inverters and they are very well made and perform perfectly. At the 5:33 second marker you show a box for your tv and you mention something about a TV guide and being able to record your shows…could you please tell me what the name and of that unit is and where I can get one. I noticed the nuts for the cables are hexagonal, so I'm guessing they could be snugged up with a wrench.

Great video. I have the older 400W Inverter and the fan stays on even when there is no load. Is this one the same?

I had not noticed it before, but yes, the fan does run, even with no load. It's pretty quiet, but that fan is clearly on. Thanks for your comment.

How do you prevent sparking when hooking up the battery?, particularly the low resistance Lithium?

To prevent the spark you can use a simple resistor but in most cases these Sparks are perfectly safe and don't indicate any problem with your battery or a circuit. Thanks for your comment.

What is the appropriate battery size+type that I should buy for my gaming laptop that comes with a 230W adapter

You need to figure out how many watts your computer uses, and then estimate how many hours a day you will be using it. Then you can determine how much stored energy you will need. Thanks for your comment.

@@waseem8830 170 watts for 3 hours is 510 watts round up to 600 watts. So you will want at least 100 ah 12v battery. Thanks for comment.

Joe proved it was false advertising The sine wave got weird under load. I wouldn’t have bought it

I saw another vid that showed the sine wave at high load and it was still pure. From the vids ive seen even the higher ones have a little distortion once you approach maxing them out. I just Bought this one, I haven't used yet but I did notice Bestek suggest not exceeding 400W. He hit 440 and since the fan is powered and even the inverter itself draws power im pretty sure he was pretty close to max it out. Overall its a good test bc I wanted to see if it can be stressed to go over 400W
