I would love an episode spent deciphering Eli’s arty cards please fellas
@ymebo23 күн бұрын
So Waddington's are standard Bridge cards and Bicycle are standard Poker cards. Which is why they are different sizes. I don't think they play much Bridge in America. But it makes sense because in Bridge there are more cards on the table than in poker so you can fit more. I also collect cards so this was my favourite video I have seen of yours

In the cut and thrust of a competitive card game, you need a clear design. It may make all the difference in who says SNAP! first.

Eli would have appreciated my literal BOX of freebie decks of cards that came with the Liquor/Booze from when I worked at a pub/restaurant YEARS back. I saved a few for emergency use and just cause some looked cool, but donated a bunch to the hospital along with a box of Archie Comics I sometimes buy when waiting in line for groceries still lol.

Just rediscovered you guys after the Barshens reunion, is there a good recent place to pick up the podcast?
@cheapshow23 күн бұрын
well, the pod is on almost every platform we can - you can pick an episode you fancy and dive in, give it a go... or start with the Barshens Reunion episode we did in early 2024 (www.thecheapshow.co.uk/ep-377-barshens-rises) or every 100th episode, or every 50th episode as we try to use them as "reset" points you can re-enter the show! Have fun!

Cool, thanks! I like idea of the soft reset after 50 episodes actually.

I always think ep 12 or around ep 12 The Cheapshow Creepshow is the best place to start if you plan to listen to all of it. It's their first "story" ep, and their first Halloween ep. It where I feel the theme and feel of the podcast really started coming together.

@@gaz9411 I think it's at its best when they're both just having a casual, slightly mad chat about something they're both interested in. For this reason I think the platters sections are often best. Just people talking about weird old silly music and having a laugh.
