Matt-make sure that the exhaust valve guillotine isn’t contacting the side of the piston. That’s a known issue with these Polaris sleds with a lot of time on them. The guillotine stop in the cylinder just wears out over time…Just grind down the edge of the guillotine to make clearance

If you don’t have the upgraded stainless steel ones, it’s heavily suggested to replace them, as when the guillotine stops wear, they can snap off and fall into the cylinder. Especially on the 800’s

it looks like it was sucking air somewhere. Crank seal or carb boot leaking at the cases would be my guess.

I’ve seen a few comments about the content feeling “off” I think part of the reason for it feeling off is that no one is narrating while filming the video sequences. Leo would always be talking to the camera. I’m still a huge fan but the videos need some narration when there is no dialogue.

The 2stroke / 4 stroke issue is partially power (and when it comes on the power band) but its also weight. Traditionally 4 stroke engines are heavier and therefore the sled is heavier and less nimble to sling around in the mountains. Tech changes and the difference may not be wide a gap anymore but riding an old 4 stroke vs a 2 stroke was night and day difference in handling in the powder.

Mag side CYL on the old Polaris Needs the fuel screw turned up the width of the blade of a screw driver from the Clutch side.. all the 700/800 edges sleds burn down on the mag side...We deff Experience that here in Canada With No speed limits and miles of logging roads.

I feel the pain blew up my first sled This year. Just bought it this year, there was so much blow by it blew all the grease out the bearings by the primary. It’s a 03 rev 600ho with only 3500 miles too

Cheap sleds blow up because of not being taken care of! When buying a old used sled, you should first change the crank seals and clean the fuel system, including Tank, lines, fuel pump and carbs. Then you will not be throwing your money away. OK, now my rant is over, I like your video's, keep up the good work!

I understand what Doug means. I have an 04 f7 red team edition and man does it have some balls when it runs right and i have twin pipes, clutching, and timing done. But it just doesnt ride right. Steers like crap and doesnt have that mobility for you to throw it around in the powder like other sleds

You can just tell by his comments about the f7 that he'll never let that sled win..wont do maintenance to get and keep it running properly..treat it like shit and bitch its a crap sled..while the allow a full rebuild on the polaris..it blew ..he should be out..the f7 is the fastest best suspended most reliable sled of the bunch..and stop sitting at the back of the seat when turning..get your balls on the tank and lean..ride it..be aggressive.
