The tap water in NYC, which comes from the Croton reservoir, is very good, which is not something you can say about a lot of cities.

Danny, so much a fan of you. Love your videos. I was born and raised in Manhattan, nyc in the 1960's - 1980's. Lived in midtown, but my parents would drag me to Chinatown once a week. Your videos brings me back memories of NYC and friends I grew up in NYC. Also, I looked at Kimchi's site. Lots of photos. But, being a fantastic photographer, how come no pictures of you. He should have lots of pictures of you, eating and posing. Come on Kimchi. If he really wants to have more business, he should featured you "prominently" in his professional photo portfolio. Your are very photogenic and your charisma will definitely increase his photo business.

Ha, that's my definition of "cheap" exactly! I will spend money if I think it's a value. (Cheap SOB tip: did you know that if you have MGM Gold or better status, you may be able to get a free* cruise when you status match? The gf and I are heading up to Alaska next month - I thought "Alaska cruises are too pricey for me," but this deal made it possible. I may be booking another free* cruise for January!) *Of course "free" isn't free - you have to pay port fees, taxes, and gratuity, as well as getting to/from the port and whatever you want to spend on excursions. They do have unlimited free tap water though!
@dannythemedic Жыл бұрын
so after paying everything how much was it VS the normal cruise prices?
@rockinmel1 Жыл бұрын
@@dannythemedic It was about $250 each to get on the boat, and gratuities will be about $125 each. That cruise runs about $1300 each (plus those other expenses) right now, so I'd say it's a good value, even if we decide to go on a couple of fancy-pants excursions.

When i was young , I was cheap on my girlfriend. Fighting over who pays for dinner was bad. I was just starting out in life. Treat her with respect is the best. Decades later I realized, the mistake in my life and will regret for the rest of my life.

That is a meal I would have truly enjoyed. I great hamburger always hits the spot, and New England clam chowder is at the top of my list of soup favorites. I even enjoy well prepared brussel sprouts too. Had I been there with you, eating the same meal, I would have been a very happy dinner. 😋☺😊 Yummm! Always a treat when Boston clam chowder is really tasty, creamy & full of clams & not overly thickened with flour. Either you were exhausted & hungry or the soup was really a 10 or both! You must have really been tired to eat the burger straight up without dissecting each component: the bun, the burger, the tomato, the lettuce. That’s the way to judge a burger, to take a bite of the whole burger put together! The meat patty looked nice & thick…did I miss you mentioning the price of the burger? Yeah, good healthier change of pace with the Brussels sprouts…

I ordered tap water too, but I ask for sliced lemon which is free to favor the water. Sometime tap water taste funny depend at what city get the water from. Danny should start a Club call "Cheap SOB+". Monthly meeting at his favor restaurant of his choice with mandatory tap water. LOL

I think you should start calling yourself as frugal instead of cheap. Cheap folks will not pay $130 for a lobster buffet but a frugal SOB has done the math and knows a good deal despite the high price tag.

0:07 "I am so tired right now, so tired …12:30 pm. I'm exhausted." How many of us are as cheap as Danny to suffer sleep-deprived exhaustion for a whole day just for a free breakfast? For me, it's a toss-up - depends on how good the breakfast is. I guess we'll see in the next video, lol. 😄

You are not a cheap SOB, you are just being Cantonese. You count the cost for everything. My familiy does the same thing at buffets. We count the number of lobsters and crab that we eat and then divide the number by the cost of the buffet. The last time I went to a lobster buffet, I stopped at 5. What's the Cantonese saying that grandma used to say? "Ho loh"....makes you full, or something like that. Amazing that you could eat 10. I'm copying you the next time I get a burger! Cheese on the side and just add a little strip. Brilliant idea! You got a ride from Kimchi? I heard Kimchi gives some people gas or diahhrea.
