Hello Peter Thank you for making this series. This is definitely gonna help me with my build on my 15 year old cheap hatchback. Also, love to see the 1st generation swift. I think I did mention in one of the other videos that I had this car for around 9 years. Surely brings a lot of memories seeing this car

Hey Peter. Thank you for the detailed videos that you always take the time in your busy schedule to put together for us. Just know that's it's well received and appreciated, especially how you always engage your audience in the videos. Maybe one day I'll work at Pssound😀

Another great video as usual. Can't wait for the next one as that will correspond to my next project in my Grand Cherokee. Did this a few years back, the difference night and day- both rattles inside, and the embarrassing outside. Too many bassheads here in South Florida think it's OK to hear trunk/ hatch rattle over the actual bass. Of course they are also the ones that must not be able to afford to fix they're A/C, because why else would they always ride with the windows down in 98 degree humid weather thumping quiet neighborhoods day and night?

Pete, what are your thoughts about SCs 5mm mats? Unlike 4mm ones (100% butyl) they are made out of butyl and bitumen sandwich, which should work loaaaads better. Additionally, are you adding polyester sheets for even better sound insulation? Most of OEMs, especially premium ones have polyester and similar materials all over inside of interior trims.
@pssound97493 жыл бұрын
Polyester is not for soundproofing, that’s for sure. Questionable why they add it at few places behind doorcards, spacing away or for crash? 🤷🏻♂️
@-Marco213 жыл бұрын
@@pssound9749 Well crap, a month ago I bought few sheets of polyester from Gladen, who claims it works better than the wave open cell foam for soundproofing.. I would like to hear your thoughts on what works and what dont in the next part 👍

@@pssound9749 There is only an overview of all their damping products. According to the pictures, the Aero-Poly "should" work better than the Aero-Wave for absorbing sound: www.gladen.com/dampingmaterial.html

So do you need to deaden practicality every metal surface? I had read or seen that just the large flat surfaces usually required deadening, the ridges and curved parts didn't need deadening? I clearly need to do a lot more in my car!
@pssound97493 жыл бұрын
Adrian did you listen to the end of the video? 😃 No, you don’t need 100% coverage, 50% is good enough, however, in a big, flat door, where u also use a beefy midbass, i’d do not just full coverage, but multiple layers too.
@adrianbennett93223 жыл бұрын
@@pssound9749 I did comment before the end of the video, my bad! Will need to add some extra deadening regardless, the sheetmetal in a Dacia Duster is not very thick 🙈

What do you place behind the door openings where the deadening is applied? Is it still sticky on the backside?
@pssound97493 жыл бұрын
Yes, but you can also use a 1-2mm aluminium sheet that covers the service holes and put deadening over it.

Cheap sound quality build? Didn't you just spend more money on the sound deadener and labor then the car's value? That's a ton of work!! It's a lot of time! The owner of this inexpensive car is paying for ALL this? Then a stereo? Where's the cheap part?
