Right out of the gate, that Anytime track without vocals shows you what a total bad ass Bun E is.

Boy howdy, does "Anytime" ever sound amazing with all that air around it! And I never noticed the "Need Your Love" lick buried in "Baby No More" until now. This stuff is aces, natch. Those of us who got to see the band in this era are blessed!

It is absolutely criminal that CHEAP TRICK 1997 didn't do blockbuster business - such a return to form, this album had all of the signature styles of the band. Thank you for so much for continuing to bless us with all of this phenomenal music!

Is Robin Zander immortal? I sure hope so. I'm glad these guys take their vitamins (and so glad that disaster up in Canada, stage collapsing in the wind, only damaged some gear... NOT band members!) THANK YOU Bun E for INSPIRATION... 40 years worth!

Love that staggered roll into the pre-chorus of Anytime. This was such a solid record. A real shame it disappeared almost the moment it was released. Say Goodbye is one of my all time favs.

I don't recognize the "Untitled" instrumental in any song released since. Anyway, these are fantastic. CT97 is when you guys got your mojo back!

Does Bun E. possess the Cheap Trick Rockpalast show from 1982? The band today should make peace with Bun E. Carlos in the 21st century and produce a full blown box-set of Bun's basement bootlegs. Big money is to be had by all.
