@@atomicpunk520 You are so right. He was killing it on that track. The changes that you just can't describe to non-music folks, you just have to be able to hear it. And it's the star turn of the track!!

Robin Zander was born in my home town of Beloit Wis. Didn't know him but Cheap Trick started playing in our local clubs in the 70's before they went into the stratosphere with their original songs. Great to witness live in the dives....They were based in Rockford Illinois then. Their album "Rockford" sure hit home when it came out.... Cheap Trick fan for life....

Cheap Trick was the first band I ever saw live. 16 years old, about 6 ft from the front of the stage. Epic.

My wife of 29 years passed away less than a month ago. This was one of her favorite songs. Thank you for the positive reaction.

I’ve seen them 3 times, and had the chance to meet them. As a matter of fact, it was the tour for this album. It was a lot of fun meeting them, and it made the concert that much better.

Robin Zander is criminally underrated, honestly one of the best rock vocalists I've seen live, literally sounded almost exactly the same live as studio.

Had to smile when I saw this reaction. I was playing the CD when my five year old granddaughter came to visit a couple weeks ago. She hit the replay button for some time on this song. I guess she liked it.

The first time I heard this song I was on Vacation in Florida! On my way home to Louisiana I stopped at a music store and bought the cassette, just for this song! Oh my goodness! The Flame 🔥

When this song came out, I was working at my first job during high school and the ladies that worked their controlled the radio. The station they had had on played this song at least 2 times an hour it seemed. I mean it was ALWAYS on.

Great video! Cheap Trick did not write this one, but rather the record company brought in outside songwriters. Legend has it Guitarist Rick Nielsen smashed the demo tape when he first heard it. He eventually relented and decided to make it the band's own. It became their highest charting song in 1988. Some people are saying they hate playing it live but that's just not true. I've seen Cheap Trick dozens of times in concert and they often bring it out. They have warmed up to it over time and Rick has even called it a good song in recent interviews.

That's funny, I've heard this song many times, but I never knew it was Cheap Trick because it doesn't sound like the rest of their stuff. This sounds like Cheap Trick doing a cover of a Whitesnake ballad.
