Dude i like your videos. I have a jamis renegade a1. It has mechanical disk brakes but i can lock them up if i want. Cheers bro Edit: what was the brand of those brakes that came on the bike?

I’ve been happy with mine be stock except for the seat and seat post. I love the simplicity of the mechanical brakes that makes road side tweaking or repair possible. I’m leaving this stock unless something breaks or wears out. It’s nice that something affordable simply works. But I’m seriously considering a second one just to see what it can become. I don’t “need” another bike, but we do things because we want to 😁

The power of hydraulic disc brakes with the ease of installation? What's not to like? Less chance of snagging a hydraulic hose and causing a leak too. I really like the power hydraulic disc brakes because of the stopping power especially when the bike is loaded with touring gear. I think I'll upgrade with these.
