I've seen people fix three teeth, chips and fillings with acrylic,, and they really looked better then what the dental office did, and cheaper,, lol I'm not going to lie,,I think it's really creative and lasts longer then a temporary filling

See enough patients with decay while under active ortho/braces and that's seeing another dentist who knows what they're doing...not some rando smdh. No way I'd ever put UV light on mucous membrane skin long enough to do all that! I watched an argument recently, where a woman tried to tell people that sunbathing her vag 😆 is beneficial for women's health and longevity and a skin doctor chimed in and informed her that the pubic area including the mucous membrane skin of the vag, lacks melanin which is what protects the skin from harmful UV rays and that all Mucous membrane skin (the inside of the mouth) is similar. Also, I'm a nail tech AND my most recent job was a denture tech, which I really enjoyed. Nail acrylic and denture acrylic might both be acrylics, but they are not the same. My guess is, nail acrylic probably leaks chemicals more than denture acrylic. There are regulations for both acrylics to protect us, but you can imagine how important it is for the acrylic to not leak toxins, when humans are wearing it in their mouths every day of their lives, with powerful enzymes in saliva that can break down whatever we put in our mouths, that then goes through our organs and bloodstream. Nail acrylic is much softer and breaks down very quickly compared to denture acrylic. I can start out with a sharp set of stiletto nails and a week later, the edges are all rounded. The smell of nail acrylic seems to be an obvious sign of chemical leaking. Dentures don't taste or smell like chemicals after being cured. I have flippers and can confidently say dentures don't taste like chemicals after they're made and they can be worn for decades without wearing down much. I'd rather walk around with a holy smile than poison myself with nail acrylic. This is frightening.

Ohhhh no no no noooooo I’m a dental assistant and there is a lot that goes on to properly place veneers. Impression, Prep the tooth, another impression, lab makes beautiful veneers that match and fit perfectly, properly cement those, clean ALL the cement up. Make sure the bite is not off. That can cause alot of damage. Not to mention I’m not sure how a nail file is actually grinding away material? We need a drill for that with a CARBIDE bur!

Actually, it is lol. I went from nails (still have my license) to being a dental assistant and it helped a ton. There's a lot of crossover with materials (ex: MMA) and technique, like you said. Legally, I can place fillings and front teeth are basically nail shaped...probably why they're my favorite :P

Actually, I worked with dental cement conducting surgeries before I ever became interested in nails. Both the tiny surgical skills and use of the mother of modern acrylic definitely transferred to nails both in sculpting and painting detailed freehand paintings! 😊

My husband is an area manager for a dental company, he’s also a RDA. He says this is extremely dangerous. She could be sealing in bacteria that can cause her teeth to rot. A VERY STUPID nail tech. Oh and I was a nail tech for 23yrs and I’d never attempt anything like that on a client, friend, family member etc. This nail tech should lose her licenses and be charged a huge fine. A complete NO NO OH HELL NO!!!

I had to fill in couple of my teeth during Covd since offices were closed. When I did finally make it to the dentist, he was so impressed he said he didn't even need to fix it. I made sure everything was super clean, I used gloves, and only a tiny bit of product(not acrylic though). Two years later I still have my fillings I did myself and I've been in for cleanings few times and still everything is in good shape👌. Dentist have been known to be very corrupt so it's a toss up whether you can do more damage than the wrong dentist.

It's really good work, and Imma tell u,, some of the teeth and veneers I've seen done,, and even the flipper teeth,, dint look as good as this,,nor do the false teeth and veneers last,, the break really eat,, and I've known people who pays alor of money only to have then break it have to be redone do to then looking extra large,,i figure hey,to each their own,,at least they are trying to help them selves,, it's very embarrassing when u have problems with your teeth, it achip and can't get the money up for it,, long as they are careful about it,, I've had my filling come right outa it two after my back tooth was done,, eating Carmel candy,, pulled it right up and out,, and i remember thinking,,well i didn't know this candy had nuts in it,, well,, it was my filling, and it was the metallic ones,, which was Even more dangerous tho swallow,, and I'm thinking, long as they are safe about it, it should last,, because nails stay pretty well,, and if filled remain through washing dishes and everything,,isay good work,,, you'll never know, i hope she gets famous this,, and acknowledge
