I love having a good mix. Starting small early in the evening then getting bigger and bigger as the night moves on!

Small fireworks are always fun, even if they aren't big. Also, canister shells are my favorite big fireworks.

Thanks for the fun content Luke. As a rule, I really don't have a preference of big vs small. Both have place in a show. For me it's about crafting a show that blends effects. For example, my standard opening employs mixed firing of 2 x16 shot cakes (each sub-$10), 1 big bore 10 shot 200 gram cake (about $15), 1 14 shot 200 gram comet cake ($6), and 4 x 7 shot 200 gram mini cakes (We Love set - $8.25 for the set). If I do have a preference it's more 200 grams than 500 grams and no noabs.

The incredible quality of super cheap items like the Eyes-on-U fountain and those amazing little 1" shells show what made in Chinese sweat shops fireworks COULD/SHOULD cost.

I like to do a mixture of 200g, 500g, zippers, cans, fan slices etc. They all have their place in the world.

Man, if you live on campus in the summer and are broke as a joke like I was my Jr year, those Mighty Minis and $3-5 are amazing options to bring a smile to your roommates and friends eyes on the 4th.
