I've acquired both and totally agree. I bought the g1 as well as recently the prodigy just to collect. Thrown then 1 time just to feel them, and right in the box again for future added value. Bought the loudout in soft tip and continue to play with the heta v2. Smaller barrel bought work well for me.

If target can release both sets in 25g minimum I'm definitely interested in getting both sets
@MatadorDarts9 ай бұрын
I think they should cater to a wider variety of weights definitely. the 22, 23, 24g is becoming more common which is a shame for those that throw 20/21g or 25/26g

Great video Kurt, it was good for target to do a cheaper version. I think his gen 1's are too expensive anyway, they've definitely monetised the pixel grip. Did you double check weights and dimensions? Is this something you're going to do more of in the future if you can? 👍🏼🎯
@MatadorDarts9 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, I think the pixel grip you pay for the exclusivity but in most cases it doesn't offer much in a technical aspect of the throw. I'm not a fan of checking weights and dimensions just because 999/1000 times, the barrels will all be match weighted within the tolerance of both weight and dimensions as they're all CNC machined which is super accurate. I personally don't see why it's needed really or why people care much about "perfect" match weighting.
@ashleystone42669 ай бұрын
@@MatadorDarts yea I get you on that mate, match weight is one of those things, unless one barrel is a over a gram +/- what it is meant to be then it doesn't make much difference. Is your podcast still going on at the moment? Haven't seen anything for while
@MatadorDarts9 ай бұрын
@@ashleystone4266 I plan on bringing it back but I don't want to do it unless it's absolutely the best I wanted it to be which is hard to do when brands etc. are non responders when I ask about collaborating. I think for now I'm going to focus on streaming and videos
@ashleystone42669 ай бұрын
@@MatadorDarts that's a shame about the brands. Have you tried contacting smaller brands? Or are you seeing the same outcome from both. I suppose it's quite difficult trying to do a podcast when you're not getting support from the companies to make your content with. Hopefully something comes through 🤞🏼

@@MatadorDarts : aye they would like , I’ve always thrown a dart with a tapered nose so I’m reluctant to try a bull nose straight barrel , best dart I’ve thrown upto (personally) is the Gary Anderson phase 6’s , they fly fantastic 👌🏽

@@MatadorDartshow would you recommend strip and recoat them?
@MatadorDarts8 ай бұрын
@@Kev7Duggan I wouldn't recoat any darts. As for stripping I'd only strip paint from barrels as it's easier and generally looks nicer. All preference though. Although I have learned that apparently stripping paint from a barrel voids any warranty under targets ToS

Both are nice darts but eather of those 2 arent for me . Too long barrels as well . Cheaper version is good enough .

Yeah they are slightly long for me too, good value for those who like this length though

@@MatadorDarts agree . Keen to check some shortish bomber or torpedo barrels . Could be the best simple One80 Nighthunter sting 22 g with simple ring grip and eventualy replaced supplied silver points with slightly longer .

Great video ! Love your content. I have the load outs and it’s hands down the worst darts I’ve ever had. Bounce outs , hit the floor and break tips . Have broken 3 tips. Flights are cheap, shaft holder split. Would never recommend these
@MatadorDarts3 ай бұрын
If you have a hard floor, Swiss points will break easily. Similarly flights and stems aren't made to last and are cheap to replace

They're not, quite often darts players don't use the setup provided in the box, this is just for a purchasers comparison. Luke uses 40mm swiss points that have been roughed up with a rotary tool or grinding disc. Or 45mm normal points
