It’s quite annoying how darker copics don’t blend smoothly. I have a skin tone kit of copics and the darkest brown never can blend smoothly with the second darkest. I don’t have any solutions for it, but I’ve noticed that too :/. But anyhow, great video Natalia! I love how original your video ideas are! ♥️♥️

I've come to realize that it blends better when your layer the base color pretty well first. Try to make sure there are no streaks and the base colors are laid down evenly throughout the drawing.

I love then both to be honest, but there’s just something about the expensive side that’s a bit better. Honestly thank you so much for making this video. So many artists who draw be like “You can get this colored pencil set was $102!” then it makes you want to give up, but this video showed me that with experience cheaper materials can give almost the same effect, ugh THANK GOD.

I love both but I personally like the expensive markers because they blend a lot better and have a better palette. That's just my opinion though, and you can still make amazing art on a low budget!

the same thing happens with the streak for copic for me , but i just found that all you have to do is when you layer , try to blend dab it with a paper towel , just a little bit :)

I’m new to markers. I’ve accumulated some Faber-Castell Pitt brush markers and some lower end markers along with Tombow dual brush markers. So as far as these go I have a lot of learning to do. Now pencils are a different story. I too love Polychromos as well as several other high end pencils. I have arthritic hands. I was painfully coloring with cheap pencils when I first started coloring. Then I found out about better pencils. Makes all the difference in the world. Now I’m enjoying pain free coloring! I like how you can work with both mediums here to achieve beautiful pictures. I had no idea you could blend markers until recently so I had no interest in them. Boy has my world changed here. Thank you.

Lovely drawing. I like both sides but the Copic side looks more luminous. If you are good at what you do you can use whatever and it still comes out looking decent but good art supplies are mostly so much more satisfying to work with.

I like both sides. I tend to mix both expensive and cheap. I have some Copics and I have cheaper markers too. It's like what you said n the skill makes the difference st the end because you can have no skill with expensive supplies and it look rubbish and you can have inexpensive supplies with great technique and it brings a master piece. Good work. I love how you did the braids! Will be practicing that technique because braids are hard for me sometimes and this seemed seamless.

Very good video; I like the way you compared the cheap vs expensive in a side-by-side work; It is good to know you can still do quality work without breaking the bank. I suppose another alternative is to "mix and match"; some more expensive materials along with the cheaper ones. I suppose you could try various combinations of cheap/expensive for each piece.
