Thanks for a very informative across China tour. I regard this the real experience before China has High Speed Rails except it is more enjoyable with considerably less people hence more space for everyone since the HSR would have taken a substantial number of passenger traffic away to travel on devoted route. 24 hours on a slow train is good before according to Google Map driving in 18.5hour nonstop. Say one fills the car up each time having lunch, dinner and one extra stop ( to stretch the legs) each pit-stop say lasting 45 minutes the total minimum journey time with car will be at least 21 hours without taking a nap. This video captures the current poor areas of China where people still use the low speed trains for their lower fares stopping at the old stations. It does show China is orderly, well maintained, clean at every station and environmentally green at the country side when comparing with the rest of the world.
I feel like this needs to be said: Governments will be governments, and governments are not the people. This goes for every country on earth, and we should all strive to forget the evils of politics. My heart and prayers are with the good people of China, especially those suffering from the flooding. Love from Atlanta 💖🙏🕊

Government is people, isn’t the base of “democracy” is people electing the government? socialist countries with no election, government is still people who struggle the way up the chain of command to the top. Those countries governed by passing down power within family is also people, revolution overturns monarchy occurs through out history when the leader stop care for the “people”. There is no such thing as evil politics, it’s all perspective and propaganda from the opposing entity. Hitler genocide Jews is considered evil, then is British settlers mass killing Native American not evil, what about Japanese wiping out population in now they call Okinawa (it was an independent kingdom prior to WW2, Japanese killed almost all of them), what about over 40 million people died in Asia from Japanese invasion in WW2, what about Saudi Arabia in Yemen, what about average 50 civilian get killed each year now in Lao by american dropped unexplored bombs, what about the agent Orange american dumped in Vietnam causing cancer and birth defect for generations, who is evil?

10 years ago I ride this train (Chongqing- Huaihua line) for Guangzhou. The Sichuan Railway Bureau did very good dishes on the train.
Traditional trains are so much more interesting to ride than high speed trains where you're in tunnels or behind concrete walls probably more than 50% of the time

nice video, your english is very good. I wonder if a westerner could do a trip like this, someone who spoke no Mandarin. Fascinating cities and countryside.

"someone who spoke no Mandarin" This is the real issue. If you could overcome this with some translation app + a lot of preparation + asking, you might be able to do it.

Hello!! I like your videos, im taking notes for my next trip to china!! What vpn are you using to have google map with no connection problems? Regards from Valencia, Spain
@GoodCitizen-gm1tlАй бұрын
I don't think Google Map is useful in China because they haven't updated their map for China for 14 years after Google left the Chinese market in 2010. If you are using an iPhone, the Apple map is good as it's up-to-date and in English. Bing Maps is even better as it shows great details (even every shop name accurately) in an up-to-date manner in English and no need to use VPN.

@gunsumwong3948 Жыл бұрын
No this is the slow green train that runs on tracks serving both freights and passengers. HSR usually has devoted tracks mainly for passengers and many of them are elevated in build-up areas.

hello sir, is the berth are assign to us when buying tickets, or is it based on whoever comes first?
@YinsTravel14 ай бұрын
The berth is random, and people over 60 years old will be prioritized for the lower berth. If you are younger, you will most likely get the middle or upper berth.
