Nice review! You are very accurate and precise in going over all the aspects of the arrows. I can definitely learn a lot from you! Cheers!

I just did an unboxing vid of cedar arrows from Rose City archery. Still need to tip them but they are beautiful. The wood arrows I got through Amazon are okay but 3 were too warped to straighten but the rest were okay. Had the same problem with weight. Great video. Subscribed. Cheers from Canada.👍😎🇨🇦🏹

I am going to order a dozen and see how they work out. Thanks for the comment.

The problem I have experienced is that the wooden arrows I have broken have shafts with the grain coming off the side, so when I hit the bag targets, the shafts break right at the grain.

Damn 586 gr ..... Pigs do fly. I remember buying this recipe in the 80's but they were in department stores for about $1.00 each.

I ordered some from two sources, but not quite that cheap. I needed some wooden arrows for my horse bows. Actually, I have had pretty good luck with Chinese Carbon arrows. I know to pull the inserts out and re-insert using high temp. melt wax.
@allthingsarcheryandshootin93803 жыл бұрын
Yes I heard the same thing about the Chinese inserts my understanding is they use inferior glue for inserts and feathers
@ronsarchery63783 жыл бұрын
@@allthingsarcheryandshootin9380 I have had no trouble with glue on feathers, just the inserts. Now, I just pull them and re-do them myself. No biggie. I have had problems with feathers on arrows from Three Rivers Archery.

use a lighter arrow the heavyier the arrow the slower it goes i have 520 grain carbons for my compound i have not speed tested but they had a serverl inchs drop at 14 yards compared to my same 500 spinte 385 grain arrows so weight is a speed and accuracy and flight killer so i cranked up my lims from 46 to 54 pound then just a tweak now on the sights to re elevate and bang on baby and can they ever penatrate now to. your over wieghted in those arrows for your bow even your angles are off as well on your tails

There’s a lot more to archery than speed. We can all shoot lighter arrows but tuning for each bow requires changes to the dynamic spine to get efficient flight. For someone who might want to change tips and hunt, more weight and kinetic energy are desirable. There’s a lot to it.
@KevinMillard6822 күн бұрын
@@836dmar well here the the story you can hunt with and shoot accuratly with any spine or weight of arrow you dont have to change the arrow it self other then take a factory arrow and making sure its the correct length for your draw lenght plus the usualt extra 1/2 to 1 inch past the front of the risier then from there you need to adjust the draw weight to match the arrows spine capabilities. and what you hunt with you pratice with for the over all weight this saves a total resetup of the bow and you also benifit from other aspects as well but doing this.. more weight from the arrow means more draw weight to be effictive other wise you lose speed and lose more energy. unless you add more draw weight how ever doing this you might have to go with different arrows that can handel the extra draw weight ,, so it appears you need to go back to school on your ideas

@@KevinMillard68 I guess the title “Traditional” doesn’t really apply to compounds and light weight carbon shafts.
