It does take a bit of time! I find the best way these days to get to the airport is the stib bus. But that's because I now have a stib card 😂

Hii, From Brussels Airport i want to go Amsterdam, Mercure Amsterdam city hotel, Sloterdijk. From where do i get a bus? Will you help me?
@helloantoniotraveladventures2 жыл бұрын
Hi Arvind! Brussels Airport isn't really a hub for long-distance buses, so I would recommend looking at the omio app to see if there is a train or any options by bus that might suit you. You could also fans the de lijn bus to gare du nord, and then change there for a flixbus to sloterdijk. Hope that helps!

Come on, guy, if you're familiar with Belgium you should also be familiar with the pronunciation of Dutch (Flemish) words. "Lijn" is not pronounced like "Line". Dutch is not German! A Dutch/Flemish IJ is pronounced as in "rain" (and the same goes for EI, by the way).
@helloantoniotraveladventures3 жыл бұрын
Nobody's perfect 😉 cheers for the pronunciation lesson.

@@helloantoniotraveladventures Never mind and thanks for the tips that you share. Another option with De Lijn is to take bus either 359 or 659 all the way to its terminus, Roodebeek. It's a quick ride (1/4h or so) and convenient, as Roodebeek is next to Brussels's biggest shopping centre and offers a metro station with super fast connections to the city centre.
@helloantoniotraveladventures3 жыл бұрын
Yep, decent option that too but slightly more expensive as I don't think De Lijn and STIB do combined tickets
@majy17353 жыл бұрын
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Yes. The option that you suggest (with actually several possible lines to the North station, I believe, not just 272) is the best if it's the downtown area you're after. Mind you, there will be more options within a couple of years, with a De Lijn tramline to Brussels North station and a STIB/MIVB tramline to... I don't where exactly but within Brussels anyway, as it's STIB/MIVB.

I don’t know why I got recommended of this video, but my advice would be, if you are traveling as an international traveler, which would be quite difficult at the moment, but anyway, 9 euro is pretty much a reasonable price for a transport from the airport to the city center which time saving and more convenient, it’s not expensive at all, just don’t be too cheap when you are traveling, if you dont even want to pay 9 euro, dont travel then, staying at home in bed the best way to save money.
@helloantoniotraveladventures3 жыл бұрын
I will politely disagree. We all have different budgets and I respect that some people value time or convenience, whilst others would prefer to have a bit more cash in their pocket to spend on other things than getting to or from the airport. Thanks for watching!
@jackiezhang82733 жыл бұрын
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Sorry I might sounded a bit harsh before, but me as Chinese, we don’t get much of free time/holidays to do a lot of traveling, especially international ones, even for me personally I’ve traveled very often internationally due to my work, I still would prefer the easiest way not the “budget saving way”. Maybe we have different concepts of “budget saving”. For instance, I saw many people in Europe buying coffee or small breakfast on the budget flights, but Chinese people would never do that since we could get the same thing much cheaper at the airport before boarding. I guess that would count as”budget saving” as well. So, different concept. In conclusion, we maybe like to save money from the “experience” instead of “time” or “convenience” when we do international travelings.
@helloantoniotraveladventures3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your opinion there, really interesting how different cultures approach travel. I try to travel as often as I can, so budget saving tends to go towards extending my experience.
@anavilhena88723 жыл бұрын
If you would prefer to spend 9 euros, then spend them. If there are people who prefer to pay less, let them pay less. If you do not want to travel on the budget, then, don't, and stay home. Yet if some people want/need to travel with a small budget, it is none of your business, actually.
@jackiezhang82733 жыл бұрын
@@anavilhena8872 I just replied to the author my personal opinion about his way of traveling, it’s none of your business as well.
