Great tutorial man! Also why use add to code list? You can right click any address and click Set/Unset Bookmark then you can click anywhere and click Goto bookmark to go to the address you bookmarked, way faster and easier.

I can't duplicate your steps with this same Chicken Invaders - UO, though I've DL the trial version, not sure that would matter. I mean i literally can't find the address to alter the food displayed value. I wanted to follow you step by step to get familiar with the process. Is there a short window of time from when the display value changes from gameplay to when you need to trigger CE to next scan for a changed value? Does the game need to pause immediately after the display value changed for the next scan to be useful? I'm going to retry without using CE hotkeys, as you also did not use them. I've also expanded my searches to ALL value types, not Byte as you did. Anyway, great vid, its a keeper.

this works on some games only? i tried this method with Victor Vran and its impossible to back trace as it does not expand and getting what writes to it like: mov eax,[ecx] mov [edx],eax ---opcode that goes thru all [ecx] shows a value different than the one im looking for in [edx]

When I do "unknown initial value" and then run "value changed" several times, I still wasn't able to change the value in Address list like you did in 18:03 I don't understand much why... What accesses the address will show you everything that is reading and writing to the address.. The count value is how many times it was being accessed.. It probably only accesses the address when the value changes and not constantly

Most of the time your best bet is to find encrypted values on value type 4 byte integer, you will find both float and 4 byte values with that. The floats will just be in their decimal 4 byte form. Scanning for float will not yield you integer 4 bytes but only the floats, so thats why you use value type integer 4 byte to scan for encrypted values

That's correct if a float value is 100 - then it's 4 byte hex value will be 42C80000 in which in decimal form is 1120403456 which will show up in the 4 byte value scanner as its decimal value.

Sometimes that happens, if the game is constantly writing to the internal then you wont see the change happen just by changing the value in the address itself You will need to test modify different opcodes with scripts to see if changing it where it is constantly writing works or not, if it doesnt then you possibly have other areas writing, or it isnt the internal. You may need to see if you can find a related value you can change to make sure that you have found the correct internal.. There is a lot of trial and error in game hacking and sometimes it can take a long time to find these things.

The internal code is what needs to be changed and most online games today store the internals on the server.. If this be the case then there is no passing it over to the server,, you can try packet editing,, or client spoofing, but you are talking hard core advanced hacking. Even then it may not work.

Im having a hard time with HMA, as the VEH and Windows debugger crash,, I cant use DMBV with an AMD processor. Which values do you believe are encrypted? I found ammo on the prolog and it was exact value with one gun 4byte value of 8 per gun. You may want to use pointer or the EIP bypass method because this game is loaded with integrity checks

There are several methods you can use to find Recoil values. Sometimes located with ammo and gun values in dissect data. Shoot and see whats changing after finding ammo addy. I don't have this game myself so Ive never sat down with it, does it have anti hacks in it? Try changing your debugger options in settings If it isn't on VEH debugger try putting it on that first, if it is on VEH then put it on windows with "try to prevent detection of debugger".. If it has more sophisticated anti hacks that looks for cheat engine specifically then you need to make it where CE is undetectable, like renaming cheatengine.exe to something else.

I did go look at CE website and others finding these addresses easy enough, I think changing your debugger options may fix your problem however, it does contain anti hacks so I would suggest looking up pointers when you have found them.

I would recommend updating CE to the latest one at cheatengine.org . Its hard to know why it isn't injecting because it could be lots reasons,, I need more info.. Did you use code injection or aob injection?? If an aob injection you may need to make the aobs more unique.. If code injection, the opcode could be dynamically allocated which means the addresses for the opcode that the code injection looks for changes..

It isn't the lack of your abilities,, you are trying to find an internal value of an online game, however that internal value is stored on the server and not your comp.. Traditional value scanners will not find the value. Sorry

Depending on how old the game is, and the type of security it has, or the lack there-of,, yoo may want to google up resources in regards to Packet Editing and/or Client Spoofing.. Just know these do sometimes work depending,, it can get you banned quickly so I would recommend,, is use a VPN Proxy to mask your IP and making what I call a dummy account that you don't mind losing to test different ways out on.. But a lot of these online games now days, is about like trying to break into Fort Knox,, unless you are an ace computer programmer/ reverse engineer you are tackling something that most of the major pros have trouble with. Also know it most areas it is Illegal and can get you in legal trouble. Ive seen it happen.. One major reason I don't touch it.

But first of these 3 values are marked red. What ever that does mean? Then I tried to change the values of those and nothing happened. My searched value did not change, but I decreased the vale in game even more and the search showed the 3 values still up. Those has to be the one I search, but they seem to be untouchable. Everytime I change them nothing happen ingame. This son of a bitch, who created the game, was clever and protected the values somehow. Can you help me maybe? Would appreciating it. 2 of those reds does change their value consistent also somehow?!

This is a very hard question because each game is unique and encrypted values are the bane of game hacking. If it is red then it means the value has changed, if you are changing values and no change is being seen, then you possible arent finding the internal. Im hoping you are talking about an offline game because if it is online then that is a totally different beast. You can only find an encrypted value using change/unchanged and even then it could take you many tries. Sometimes you can find them quickly sometimes it can take you days. So not knowing what game this is and nor anything about the value you are searching for,, then Im trying to shoot a bullseye in the dark blindfolded.

Then all i can tell you is that after you changed it,, and it changes back,, you did not find the internal value.
