From a female’s perspective, when you’re in a committed relationship for a couple years and then it starts to go downhill between you and your partner it’s hard to even call it quits even though you feel like you’ve mentally checked out because you hold on to so much good memories of the past and even hold on to somewhat the idea of what a future could still look like if you really try to make it work.
