I would've always been under the impression that standing closer, or at least as close as he did, would make it more difficult. I tried it from roughly 3ft after and I was suprised at how easier it was. This being said, why would you cheat anyway? Especially when you've proven you can win a PDC title. It's very desperate.

How ya doing Jack? First of all the camera angle @ 1:39 looks better, only in my opinion than how you normally set it up & at the same time stamp, I couldn't help but notice how your elbow hangs low. I did suggest in your live game stream for you to raise it up by about 2-3" and try throwing like it:) But I knew you was busy and not reading comments but I still hoped you would have read them in the after watch:) I have been throwing darts since I was 3 years old and always had MY throw but after watching one of Mardle's videos, I tried it and my dart improved instantly:) Give it a go in practice and let me know how you get on:) keep the vids coming :)

when PDC set a challenge to hit a 180 with 3 different darts to win some darts, I tried for an hour and then realised I could just move closer and record it 😂😂 however i played worse so that theory is debunked

If you see the angle in which Dyers darts hit the board.... they come from above. I've tried that from a short distance and never could manage to do it. I even think it's impossible.

We used to play a game at family gatherings. Everyone puts a dollar in and tape one to the board. If u hit it at the regular line then throw from a foot forward of the line if u hit then throw from a foot behind the line and if u hit it again u win the pot. Actually takes a little while sometimes

Cheating in any sport/game isn’t really on and we’ve seen it at the highest level in sport. The thing for me is what’s going through someone’s head knowing they’re massively enhancing the chances of winning? For sure it’s conscious decision to deceive. Great video 🎯👍🏻

When you have this, and the accusations being thrown around about other players, I'd say an insurance policy is needed. A mini cam from the board showing the standing position. Home Darts is here to stay imo, so maybe a multicam setup is something for Darts manufacturers to look at now.

Looking at the dartsnews clip, in my opinion the camera's at too much of an angle to the board for his hand to ever show if he was standing at the correct distance, he'd have to swing his arm out really wide to the right for it to appear in the camera shot

When you are playing strangers who are low lifes expect cheating! They do not care what you think and if caught just laugh. I play on arcade boards at a $1 a game. When the camera catches them I simply walk away wasting their time. They loose their dollar at least and some time. But cheating is rar thankfully! Most players just want a good competitive game.
