It’s because people can have the same name in DBD so people might go and report random steam accounts thinking it’s the hackers, when it might not be.

I watch stuff like this and never understand how anti-cheat software can't figure out someone is moving 20x faster than they should and that heals are being done nearly instantaneously without the use of a perk. I'm not a programmer or anything so I can't speak for why anti-cheat software can't figure it out but it seems odd

It's not that hard at all. No perks or addons except the syringue provide insta-heals. A code like: -If *Heals* take less than >2s, send report through (destination). -If item held *syringue*, check [speed] + [Amount collected]. -If [speed+amount collected]= [survivor pickup and item], do nothing. If not equal, send report. I'm not a programmer either, but that's a simple plan to just stop insta heals. The idea behind reports is having a moderator join or watch a recorded match that will be saved in the cloud thanks to said report. May be harder than it sounds, and obviously there will be counters, but that's how a basic idea would look.

so as a coder what they use is an anticheat bypass meaning that even though they could be breaking that code it bypass sends it through as if that code was never broken like it seems simple but for every code theres one that can bypass it. but bhvr oooohhhh bhvr just don't give a fuck to update their codes from what has been happening because while there are ways to bypass you can just update your code making it so the hackers have to update their so if maybe just maybe they used a different anticheat software it wouldnt be this way

So in the World of Warcraft private server community they have to deal with stuff like speedhacks all the time. The biggest private server solved the problem by just adding one code into the anti cheat. the game has fixed speeds for everything ingame just like dbd. so BHVR if you are listening: fixed speed [speed] (without any perks or something) = 3. Code: if the players speed is going higher than anything the game would actually permit through perks = ban. i cant believe that coding this should be that difficult. So if you were to go faster than the normal coded ingame speed your character can move, you get insta banned on the private server. so why does it not work here?
